> 24 hourI have completed several tile jobs using the Ditra underlayment, after using cement board for years. The huge benefit is that it can be cut with a razor blade, although it still needs to be cemented down to the subfloor using thinset (as cement board does). The difficult, and time consuming part is trying to fill in all of the squares with thinset when laying the tile. You must move the trowel back and forth in all directions to get the air bubbles out and get every square filled in with thinset. It is very aggravating! I guess its still easier than cutting cement board to fit and installing all the screws in the cement board.

> 24 hourThis did not meet my expectations. It is difficult to get fully adhered to the subfloor at the edges. The deep waffle indentations are difficult to completely fill. I am removing this.

> 24 hourThis was recommended to us by a tiler working a neighbors house. We used it because another neighbor had had a lot of trouble with cracked tiles and we wanted to avoid that. It was easy to put down -- a lot easier than cement backer board -- and the tile went down on top of it with no problem. A warning: if you are doing the work yourself and plan to take your time, be aware that the orange stuff is not comfortable to walk on without shoes!

> 24 hourNot worried about my large travertine tiles breaking over the years. Sturdy and strong underlayment. Love the schluter system...we waterproofed our whole shower using Kerdi. Great reliable stuff.
