Schluter-Ditra XL 5/16 Underlayment 175sqft Roll by Schluter

This stuff is great. Used over 3/4 plywood subfloor and it is solid. Very easy to install and use. I will be using this for all my tiling projects!

Easy to install. Much better than using Hardibacker on floors. You will use a bit more mortar, but worth it.

Expensive, but makes for planing out my 3/4 hardwood floors perfectly with my tile with no over mudding required. Saves time to put in OSB flooring + Ditra XL vs laying a ton of hardibacker on top of OSB or plywood floors. Plus it weighs very little. Tip. prefill waffles the night before you tile and let dry. Then next day you can walk on it and tile right over. I will never use anything else (other than maybe Ditra Heat for my next bathroom or tile floor applications

This did not meet my expectations. It is difficult to get fully adhered to the subfloor at the edges. The deep waffle indentations are difficult to completely fill. I am removing this.

Make very very certain that you lay it down very very flat and never fold it. Once you have a crease you are done for. Your floor will not be flat amd then tiling will be a pain

Went in great. The XL has the same height as a 3/4 inch hardwood floor when everything is installed.

My go to for this type of product

Our builders took the cheap way out and spaced our floor support the maximum they could, which made it hard to do ceramic tile when we remodeled our kitchen. This helped make it possible and the floors look AMAZING!

Very easy to install and was the perfect hight to make my porcelain tile match up to my solid 3/4 hardwood

Have utilized this product for every floor tile installation. Will never use anything else. Several years and no crack or flaws in the installs. Just great products!
