This was recommended to us by a tiler working a neighbors house. We used it because another neighbor had had a lot of trouble with cracked tiles and we wanted to avoid that. It was easy to put down -- a lot easier than cement backer board -- and the tile went down on top of it with no problem. A warning: if you are doing the work yourself and plan to take your time, be aware that the orange stuff is not comfortable to walk on without shoes!
