> 3 dayEasy to put down but make sure you have good contact with the thin set. Also, you will use a LOT of thinset on top when setting tiles. Plan to have more on hand than you think youll need. It also takes quite a bit of effort to get the thinset into all the small squares but when done, it really helps achieve a level tile surface.

> 3 dayThis is a good product that was relatively easy to use. In the past we have used the lath and concrete approach for setting tiles. We will most likely go back to the metal lathe and concrete approach, simply because of cost and ease of obtaining supplies. > 3 dayThis was recommended to us by a tiler working a neighbors house. We used it because another neighbor had had a lot of trouble with cracked tiles and we wanted to avoid that. It was easy to put down -- a lot easier than cement backer board -- and the tile went down on top of it with no problem. A warning: if you are doing the work yourself and plan to take your time, be aware that the orange stuff is not comfortable to walk on without shoes!
