Sennheiser HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

1. They sound great without an amp.

I have been using these headphones for a good year now, I currently use my headphones with the FiiO - E10K Olympus USB DAC, these HD 650s sound a lot fuller with great balance and a lot more detail than my last pair of headphones could offer. As a person that really doesnt class themselves as a audiophile I could tell that the quality of the sound that these headphones produce was much more tangible and intimate than any other headphones that I have used previously.

Ive had these for a week now and theyre now run in by about 100 hours. I have to say that straight out of the box they are rubbish but then no hi-fi equipment should be judged in that way. From an audiophile point of view, these phones cant really be faulted. They replicate all frequencies from top to bottom with ease and have great detail resolution. I wont go into superlatives as there are enough reviews on here going into minute detail, save to say that I dont think anyone buying these will be hugely disappointed.

I like the hd650 but sold them and bought the hd600 :) Ill probable buy them again someday now i have a better amp

今までPhilipsのSHL９６００を使用していましたが、何だか高音域がごっちゃになって聞こえる感じがしたので、新コンポと同時にHD６５０を購入しました。他の高級機を聴き較べていないので詳しく分かりませんが、ナチュラルな表現で音に深みがあり楽曲がゆったり聞こえる印象がしました。購入前にゼンハイザーの新製品もチェックしましたがピンと来なかったので、パーツ交換可能で「８年の実績」を優先しました。以前より安くなっているし、ユーロ安の今が買い時かもしれませんね。村治佳織さんのギター曲を聴くことが多いので、どなたかのコメントで村治さんがオススメしてたと聞いたのも決め手でした。とても幸せです。

FIX THE DAMN CABLE, its brittle as hell and will break if you move around a lot. other than that has reasonable sound and comfort for the price.

所有しているアンプがHP-A8なので「鉄板」と言われるHD650をいつかは聴いてみたいと考えていました。

My first pair of quality headphones and Im really satisfied with it. I find myself wanting to keep these on all the time. You will need an amp for this and good audio files to bring out the full potential of these bad boys. I got the M3 by SMLM. Havent tried other headphones in the same category so I cant compare. Would have preferred not to have shelled out another $100 for an amp, but I would def but these headphones again.

I like a natural, balanced sound that is a close to the sound of a good acoustic instrument or voice in a real room as I can find. These are very easy to listen too and very natural sounding. When they err, I think that they err on the side of warmth and I like that. You kind of listen into the music with these. I also have AKG k-701s. I like the 701s too, but they push the detail forward and are not as warm sounding. Theres lots of detail in the Sennheisers, but it is laid back and less in your face. In addition, the 701s NEED a good amp to sound good but these (while benefiting from a good amp) dont suffer as much with more common equipment.
