Sennheiser HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

Sono veramente soddisfatto della cuffia. Il livello di dettaglio è eccellente e lascolto prolungato non stanca. La uso collegata direttamente alluscita di un vecchio Powermac G5 e laccoppiata è vincente sotto ogni punto di vista.

Sonido muy fiel, sin tonalidades añadidas, lo que oyes es lo que hay en la grabación. Mejor que vayan acompañados de buena amplificación. Para amantes del sonido natural; los que gusten de coloreado añadido, mejor busquen otras marcas (Grado, etc.)

These make music fun again (not that it ever wasnt, but i found myself falling in love with songs Id know and loved for years).

I bought these headphones on December 2011 and have since been thoroughly using them. I am absolutely happy with my purchase and here is why:

These are the first step. Like anyone looking to make this kind of investment for headphones I did a lot of reading before buying. That is only going to get you so far. You need to hear these. Ten years ago I listened to a pair of HD600 straight off a disc-man with NO amp. I was completely blown away, I set out to find the perfect headphones for one hundred dollars, that was a mistake. I kept buying headphones in that range over the years and nothing came close. I was torn between these and the 600s, but decided that I loved the look of these and a few reviews pushed me to get the 650s. I highly suggest going to Guitar Center or some place that you can compare them, I believe the 600s maybe the superior sounding ones (its always the ugly ones). Its been said that a good set up is the Lehmann Audio Black Cube Linear amp/HD600 using a 650 headphone cable. But there is no way Im paying that kind of money for an amp...

I must say I didnt like the sound when it arrived in my hands, until I recabling it. HD650 doesnt come with best sound without doing any thing, however, it sounds fantastic when you pair it with a good amplifier and cables. It can sing, with warmth sound as you heard with a tube amplifier. But if mismatching an amplifier, it would sound awful; the difference is so significant.

Im not an audiophile person, but Im one of these students who spend a lot of time reading and studying in the library. Ive tried many other headphones before, but with most of them, I was getting annoyed after an hour or two. I got this headphone last week and last weekend I spent 8 hours studying, watching Youtube, online classes, and listing to music; I even forgot I was wearing a headphone. The only problem is that I cant use it in the silent study rooms because the other students will get annoyed.
