SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

The presentation and box the headphones came in were amazing. The headphones themselves... im not so sure.

If you were like me and are trying to buy a nice pair of headphones to get a start in the audiophile scene or even just for quality music or gaming than this review may help your research. Below Ill list some quick pros and cons to consider and an overall summary to help with your decision.

Bought these based off the Zeos review of them ... I liked the 600/650 but the soundstage was too small to also game in them but the 660S fixed that.

Wanted to loved them but the sound signature is not for me. Fairly airy and precise but no bass whatsoever! Fairly flat sounding - accurate? Perhaps. But the overall sound didnt speak to me. Very lean sounding with little meat on the bone. Perhaps a great vacuum tube headphone amp can help here but I am way pass that.

I felt this Sennheiser 660s listening experience compared favorably with my JBL S-38 IIs. I noticed this especially while listening to Aaron Coplands Concerto for Clarinet and String orchestra. Also, I noticed favorable compares with Howard Hansons Symphony #3 in the 2nd movement. In fact, they performed so well, I was momentarily confused whether I was listening to the music on the bookshelves or the headphones.

The reviews from many others have covered basically all the great points of this headphone. I will not repeat them. However, the description says Did you know? The HD 660 S is designed and engineered in Germany, then manufactured to exacting standards in Sennheiser’s Tulamore, Ireland factory, yet the packaging says Made in Romania. I have nothing against Romania, but I absolute hate false claims.

Gran calidad de audio, no hay nada como escucharlos ya que muchas reseñas no hablan tan bien comparados con los HD600, para mi gusto una gran opción pero sí son algo caros y un lujo muy costoso, después de un año de la compra estoy muy satisfecho.
