SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

Just received and left speaker blown out of box.

Never ever have I written a review for anything.

Not sure how I did it, but saw these puppies for $359 one day. Snagged them as its the lowest Ive seen and do feel they were a little overpriced at $499. Couldnt be happier at the new price point. In a nutshell, Sennhesier took what was great about the HD600 and HD650 and made the HD660S. Best imaging Ive ever heard in a headphone at any price point!. Same stellar Sennhesier design and overall one heck of a can. Buy with confidence!

Expensive and worth it. Im audiophile of several decades. Ive tested many headphones over this time. These rank with the best. Fit and finish is first class as youd expect. These cans fit tight at first but adjust over time for a good comfortable fit. If you value the fact that headphones should reproduce musical performance as close to the intent of the original source producer you will not be disappointed. These cans are about as dynamically neutral and fully balanced as you can get at this price point. The soundstage is wide and the nuance of finally orchestrated music is intense. These cans will accentuate the best sonic qualities of source material as well as bring out the warts. If you listen to compressed music, i.e., iTunes, Spotify, etc, you are wasting your money here. Lesser cans will suffice. If you listen to music through DACs, still listen to CDs, or subscribe to high def streaming services like Tidal you will rejoice at what these cans do for your ears.

Very neutral and clear

They were not comfortable enough for me, I had to return them. The sound quality was good but the clamping force was off the charts. I have not had an issue with any other headphones (DT-880, MDR-1000X, B&O H6, HD-280 Pros).

These headphones changed the way I listen to music. They are extraordinary.

Estos audífonos son sumamente claros y versátiles, las frecuencias medias son muy íntimas, con cuerpo, y mucha resolución. Las frecuencias altas no son sibilantes, ni ear piercing, y los bajos están en su justo lugar y con mucho detalle.
