Sennheiser Professional HD 280 PRO Over-Ear Monitoring Headphones

Six months after purchase the right side phone is dead. Is it too much to expect headphones to last at least a year?? Been down this road too many times. Definitely DONT buy these unless you think $120 + is a fair price for 6 months of usability.

Nice head phones, BUT I found them very tight on the head, and I mean tight and the cord on these are a coiled cord. Its almost to close to the head phones. Maybe Im being picky because the last pair of Sennheiser were so good. I hope they loosen up but Im not sure about this coil. Over all they sound good.

They certainly stand out in terms of looks, but you can use them comfortably in most any scenario. I bought mine directly from Sennheiser (thru Amazon) and here are my thoughts:

Excellent....period

Ive used these phones at work virtually everyday for the last 7 years. I am glad to see they are still in production and well-regarded. They are a great value!

WOW!!! I havent used over the ear headphones in years. I forgot what good sound was like. Talk about separation, very nice! I have only listened to a few songs from a few Genres, but I am in love. I usually travel with some Sony sports over the ear headphones. I wanted to get something for about a 4.5 hours flight, but to be able to get lost in music as my girl friend will not be traveling with me.

These are great for general use or studio work. I have compared these to a lot of headphones. There are other good choices but these are great! Get them you wont be dissapointed. I gave 5 stars because the price is great too.

Ottimo prodotto a livello di resa acustica, purtroppo però la vita di questi apparecchi è breve, nemmeno un anno e lauricolare di sinistra ha smesso di funzionare. Questa è la seconda cuffia della marca Sennheiser, la prima la acquistai nel 2008, ebbe lo stesso problema ma almeno è durata di più. Morale della favola, consiglio di informarsi sulle garanzie del prodotto.

Sounded good until the left side stopped working in under a week. Returned them .

Noise attenuation of 32dB is a stretch...possibly for certain frequencies, but it is just as good as aviator sets costing hundreds more (they typically are rated around 24dB). Great for blocking out the noise on stage while trying to listen to yourself play though the monitor boxes.
