Greater than one weekVery clear headphones. Warning: If youre looking for headphones that drive unnatural bass, then get a difference model. These are meant to push sound as it is meant to be heard from the sound engineers who produced the music. For instance, if you visualize an equalizer, all of the settings are in the middle, where other headphones would be in the V setting.

> 3 dayPerfect flat sound head phone. The only downside is the weight can make them uncomfortable after over 4 hours of use.

> 3 dayIt plays exactly what is their, and plays it very well. Is not bass light, but is also not “tuned” to insert fabricated bass. If the bass is recorded to swell and be overwhelming, it is reproduced as such. A steal honestly!

> 3 dayI bought these in 2007 and they are still going strong, few things stand the test of time as these phones.

Greater than one weekFirst of all let me say that I bought these for my mp3 player to get the most out of it. It sounds sort of ridiculous because the mp3 player is like 1/10th the size of the headphones, nonetheless that was my purpose for them. Personally I dont care how big the headphones are within reason and these are definitely within reason. Basically when I listen to my music I want to be getting the most out of it whenever I listen to it. I guess you could call me an audiophile even though I had never even heard of the term until a few months ago. These headphones were bought to replace a cheaper version of some Sennheisers that worked fine, but were just annoying to wear and were giving me headaches. In any case, let me start with that. I find these to be much more comfortable and better built than the ones I had. The actual size of the head phones changes instead of just the position of the earpieces. Also, the cups completely encompass the ear which not only are more comfortable but create a much richer sound. The padding is definitely more on the professional size and feel.

> 3 dayThis is the first pair of higher quality headphones that Ive purchased - and they make every song I listen to, new. These headphones allow you to hear so much of the background levels, and makes it all feel crisper. Im not an audio geek, but I can recommend these without any hesitation. Plus the passive noise suppresion is fantastic.

> 3 dayI bought these second hand in 2004 and have really liked having them. They sound fine to me. I must comment on their durability. If you like taking your headphones with you to work, the library or to the backcountry you are going to have to treat them with respect. My pair of HD 280s had the top pad part fall off and cracked panel on the upper bridge part of the headphone exposing a wire. I guess Im partly to blame for not taking better care of the phones but there has got to be some phones out there than can travel without falling apart. Miraculously they are are still fully functional.
