> 3 dayI loved the look of these latches for the price. However, one of the screws that holds the bushing in place came loose, and with it the latch on that side. (Hood flutter). If I could just replace the hex socket screw I would be a happy camper. Next time I will use Loctite. IF not for this nuisance, this would be a 5/5 easily.

> 3 dayThese are a very well designed and manufactured latches. Fairly simple to install. High quality materials provided with hinges neatly packed and shipped. One suggestion: get some stainless steel washers to use with your installation, two sizes needed, four of one, two of the other. A GREAT VALUE for the money and very REASONABLY PRICED for the quality and fit. Worked and fit perfectly on my 2015 JK.

> 3 dayI ordered another set of latches first that were advertised as black stainless steel. They were plastic. These are all metal and they are made really well. Not disappointed at all.

> 3 dayWorks exactly as advertised. Really easy to install, but its kinda tricky to get a wrench on it. But its not these latches fault. They are holding tight.

> 3 dayThese latches are well made and look great. And the hood doesnt pop every time a Peterbilt passes on a 2 lane highway. The only thing I would advise a Jeep owner is these do not give, they are solid. If you are an avid off-road enthusiasts I would think about the fact these latches have no elasticity to allow flexing in extreme condition.

> 3 dayThese are a big upgrade from my stick JK latches. They are big, sturdy, and solid which fits with the Jeep brand.

> 3 dayIll keep this review short and simply say that these latches look great, are pretty easy to install, and solved my problem of having dull faded OEM latches. Below are are few steps that may help with your install. 1. check the rubber gasket (for bottom bracket) to ensure it is correct for your model JL or JK. 2. Remove the bottom bracket allen bolts (small ones) from hinge to access the larger allen bolt that goes through lower body panel. 3. Put a piece of tape on the back of nut (bottom bracket) before inserting into 13mm socket. Should prevent nut from falling off socket. 4. Align nut in socket with lower panel hole (reaching behind panel with ratchet). 5. Align bottom bracket* allen bolt with panel hole and taped nut. Easier than trying to fish for threads with nut. *Ensure bottom bracket flat side is down 6. Attach bottom bracket hinge with (small) allen bolts. 7. Attach top bracket. 8. Adjust top bracket (up/dpwn) as needed to get secure fit.

> 3 dayThe only difficult part of installing this involves the lower bracket. That will be the case with any hood latch replacement for a Jeep JK. I installed this on my 2008 Jeep JK Unlimited. Like others, I found the installation required removing the front grille. That is quick and easy to do. Total installation time was less than an hour. They are well made, fit perfectly, and I am impressed with this product.
