> 3 dayI’ve owned or used all the major brands over the years and have even owned two Kirby brand vacuums. This is so much better. Easier to empty than a Dyson. Better for hardwood floors than any other, it doesn’t kick out bits to the side or leave anything behind like my Dyson stick did. Better for carpet/rugs because unlike many vacuums you have a bleed valve that allows for pile height or backing. The ease of use and multiple ways to configure means I can actually vacuum my hardwood stairs, get underneath the beds, and in corners without stoping and starting. I love the mini rotating tool, it gets the pet hair and doesn’t clog. This vacuum can do it all. I may get another for upstairs just so I don’t have to carry it up and down, although it isn’t a problem because it isn’t too heavy (throwing shade at you Kirby)

> 3 dayI LOVE IT. I’ve been so happy with my Shark vacuums but have always had the more basic models. Now that I have a Golden Retriever that sheds and another shorter hair breed who sheds too I decided it was time to invest in a higher end model and see the difference and wow! It’s so impressive!!! I know it’s expensive but honestly I’m so happy with the decision and it’s something that should last a long time so will be worth it. But bottom line- it’s extremely impressive and I am so happy with it! Very highly recommend it!!!!

> 3 dayWhat a difference this vacuum has made. In the past I would have to dust every day, dust so thick you could write your name in it and this happened even when vacuuming every day. This vacuum fixed the problem. I love it!! It is so easy to switch from bare floor to rug cleaning. The rug cleaning works great also. Vacuum is a little heavy but it is a great trade off for the suction. The only thing I do not like is the hair wrapping around the small rubber tires in the front of the vacuum. I have a constantly shedding border collie and cat and hair is everywhere. When I vacuum the hair winds around the small rubber wheel axles. I have to clean it out by using tweezers. I hope the future models of Shark have an easier way to clean this wheels.

> 3 dayMy dog sheds so much and this has been amazing! I have physical issues and was worried it might be too heavy, but it is light enough to use daily. It’s easy to use and picks up better than any vacuum I’ve owned. I love that it has 3 settings for floor types. It makes it easy to vacuum the whole house! Highly recommend for pet owners

> 3 dayThis is my first purchase of a Shark vacuum. After exhaustive research I settled on the Shark Vertex model based on reviews and comparative shopping. First, the positives, excellent suction, large dust storage container, multiple adjustments for roller height, ability to remove storage container to vacuum in difficult to reach areas, useful attachments, and overall sturdy feel while vacuuming. For all the positives, it is a little clunky. It is somewhat difficult to roll around during vacuuming because the the roller provides significant resistance on the back stroke, and it’s large size feels awkward, generally speaking. In conclusion, I will gladly take the relatively few negatives for the excellent overall performance and quality this vacuum offers.

> 3 dayThis replaced a Dyson ball, that I was never happy with. Dyson advertises that their vacuums never lose suction, but the suction on the Dyson was too weak to begin with. This Shark has WAY more suction. It also has a far better brush roller. The brush roller on the Dyson was self-adjusting but seemed to ride on top of the carpet pile, instead of digging in and pulling out dirt. The fins on the Shark do a much better job of getting into the carpet fibers. The fins also dont get clogged with hair, and the second roller does a great job on the bare floor. The lift-away turns the vacuum into a corded stick-vac that lets the vacuum get under the sofas, entertainment center, and beds. The headlight helps you to see the dirt in those areas, too. And the fact you can use it as a wand or handheld is a huge improvement over the Dyson, too. So, what are the negatives? Its ugly. Its heavy. The hose is a bit short. The cleaning head is a little too tall to fit under one of our sofas, even in stick-vac mode.

> 3 dayWhat a fabulous replacement for my precious Hoover WindTunnel. This is why we are loving it: 1. suction is even better (though WindTunnel has been amazing), 2. like the fact I can now easily vacuum up my rabbits fur under the bed without crawling under, 3. so far no long hair wrapping around barrel (though weve used just once but filled up the entire canister - much bunbun fur), 4. it propels itself forward (but a big harder to move back to ones self; not a deal breaker unless you are on the much weaker side), 5. doesnt feel cheaply made, and fulfills our needs. Hands down would recommend......

Greater than one weekIm adding to the previous review. Ive now had this sweeper 1 year, 10 months. The sweeper is still doing its job well, but I have had to replace two parts. 2 months ago I had to replace the extension wand, something in it that supplies the power to the sweeper head (floor nozzle) went bad. It was a $30 fix. Today, my replacement floor nozzle arrived. I noticed in the last month that the power fins completely wore down, and a few days ago the beater bar stopped spinning entirely. Replacement past was $90. Please note that I have a large house and sweep both bare and carpeted floors on a daily basis, so it is definitely getting a workout. I still have no regrets about buying this sweeper. Previous review: Ive had this sweeper for over a year now. It does what its supposed to do. However its hard to use on stairs because the hose isnt that long or flexible. This is my 2nd Shark. Kids broke the first one. I havent been disappointed in the brand yet.

> 3 dayYeah its a little on the heavy side but boy does it suck! Sucks in a good way. Now well get to the hose. It is an accordion style and stretches out too about 5ft. That is until you turn it on. Once on the, the powerful suction, did I mention how it sucks, pulls the hose tight. It almost straightens it out its soo strong. You cannot use the hose with the cannister attached to the main body. Unless your using the hose 12 inches away you have to detach the cannister. Even with the vacuum on low it still pulls the hose tight. You have to move the cannister with your vacuuming motions. Used for a few weeks now and havent had to clean roller at all, works as designed. Had to clean my old Shark after ever second vacuuming. I have 2 Golden Retrievers, nuff said there. Gave it 4 stars for the hose and weight. If you can put up with that, which I can, then this vac is a good buy.
