> 3 dayFirst of all, I am reviewing the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright of my own accord, not for any incentives. Just a good old fashioned, honest review. We have had many vacuums over the years, from Bissell, Hoover, Eureka and yes, even the over-priced, over-hyped Dyson (which was a huge disappointment and lasted 2 years before the ball didnt rotate and lost suction). I initially ordered another Eureka, thinking that the vacuum industry has gone downhill, and we are forced to buy the cheap plastic machines that last 2 years then need to buy another. I tried the Eureka and it was absolutely horrid - returned and began another search. I called a friend of mine who recommended the Shark. I bought this one, the NV360. It arrived in 3 days and I tried it immediately. Long story short, my Daughter and I were fighting over who was going to vacuum the next room in the house! LOL!!! The oriental rugs were changing back to their bright colors, the carpet was standing up again, leaving vacuum trails, we had to empty the container 5 times due to the amount of gunk this beautiful machine was collecting that had not been cleaned up from our last vacuum!!! It was a beautiful moment! If you have been in the same situation, thinking there is no more awesome vacuums left in this world, never fear! BUY THIS THING NOW!!!! :) You will thank me later!

> 3 dayIt’s like I have not vacuumed my apartment for the past 3 years! It’s only been 2 weeks since I vacuumed! It got stuff out of my area rug I have had for years apparently!! This is a picture of just my area rug by the couch!

> 3 dayThe suction is great and it is so easy to clean! I have long hair and a dog. This vacuum picks it all up and is makes hair easy to remove from the floor bristles. It also works on my small areas of hardwood floors. Great for the price!

Greater than one weekSo my previous vacuum was a tiny dirt devil cordless handheld vacuum. It was bad, very bad. It barely could suck things up that were big or small and it was horrible for spot carpet cleaning. I have seborrheic dermatitis - if you dont know what that is, think dandruff, but its on other parts of your face, and the dandruff thats on your head is 10000x worse. My computer chair is on top of a short pile carpet that is 10+ years old. Normally simple vacuums should be able to grab whatevers in the carpet and suck it up, but if youve ever dealt with flakes from seborrheic dermatitis, they look practically INVISIBLE on certain colored carpets, and even on short pile carpets they sink into the bottom layer of the carpet. This is bad because it makes it very difficult to vacuum it up, and over time those flakes disintergrate into tiny dust particles, and guess what that is food for? You betcha, DUST MITES. I would ritualistically vacuum the area around my computer table but I knew I wasnt quite getting to what was the actual problem. At first I was going to get a cheapo $60 Eureka one that I saw online, but then I thought about it - why not just get something thats a little bit more expensive but not Dyson levels of expensive and is just as powerful? Thats where this came in. Assembly was straightforward, instructions were clear. Plastic felt a bit on the brittle side for everything, but that seems to be the general case for most modern products. Hooked everything together, turned on the vacuum and DANG it was strong. I had a hard time pulling the vacuum off the carpet. Fortunately, unlike some of these other reviewers *I read the instructions*. This happens on short pile rugs and carpets - this can be easily remedied by reducing the suction through the suction ring thats near the handle. Counter clockwise for less suction, clockwise for more. You will hear an air leaking sound - THIS IS NORMAL. This is a pretty cheap and easy way for the vacuum to reduce suction - and you dont have to adjust it too far - I would say a 1/6th turn was enough to reduce the suction so I could move it around comfortably without feeling like Im fighting with the vacuum. After I cleaned the area in question - the dust cup was already HALF FULL with dust. And it wasnt the typical dust youd see from the top layer of the carpet - this thing picked up what looked like extremely fine powdered sandy/colored stuff. It was obvious that it was the flakes that have dropped from my head that got pulled into the bottom layer of the carpet. Now Im sure a standard old school canister vacuum could do the same thing and my lack of experience with vacuums is just overplaying my experience, but as you can see from the other reviews here, people who have used other vacuums before can attest to the fact that this thing is *REALLY STRONG*. Bang for buck high power for its price. Also Amazon has a payment plan thing you can use which makes the bite required to buy this hurt less as well. Another thing the manual will warn you about - the vacuum is not stable upright - lean it against the wall or around items that can support just in case it tips over or find some straps to keep it secured against.

> 3 dayLove this vac, this is my second one cus the first one I accidentally ruined (don’t wash the dust compartment with water, I don’t recommend it—it causes the o-ring-like seal around the container to weaken and loosen till it entirely fell off, rendering the container no longer able to seal dust in) So yeah treat this vac well and it will last you years!

> 3 dayim shocked how much dust this thing picked up , and how dusty my floors were , have been useing this old phantom for years , not doing its job . this corrected that by a good margin . materials feel cheep , but its light weight and easy to move around engaging the wheels requires pulling back on the handle , but you have to step on the front of it or it will not stay down , unless theres some other way to do it i havent figured out yet . feels liek a bad design , but once in place it works great

> 3 dayI just unboxed this and did one quick clean in our small living room, dining room and kitchen. Granted, we hadn’t vacuumed in close to a week because our last one died and we went back and forth a bit on which one to buy as a replacement. So the floors were pretty gross! I am impressed by the suction power and just how much it got up. The brush roll is strong and when it’s on, it feels like the vacuum is propelling itself forward. My only complaint is how short the hose. It’s designed so you have to lift the whole vacuum barrel up in order to really use the hose. It’s awkward and cumbersome compared to the Dyson we had before. I wish the hose was at least twice as long so I didn’t have to bring the barrel with me all over the house. It’ll just take some getting used to, it’s not annoying enough to return it or not recommend the vacuum. Overall, it’s a great vacuum for the price and I’d recommend it. Pictured is all the dirt and grime it picked up after one quick run (we only have one shorthair cat!). Truly impressive!

> 3 dayI love it. I was so surprised how much cat hair I vacuumed up after my previous Dyson. So easy to maneuver - it takes me for a walk.
