I was amazed at how much dirt, dust, and hair this picked up from my carpeting! It has really strong suction, and I was also happy with the job it did on hard floors as well. I did keep the brush rollers going on the hard floors because I wasnt worried about any minor marking or scratching of my floors, and I think this helped pick up everything. PRO: Cleans up dirt very well. CON: Not as good as more expensive models. Feels like a cheap, tipsy, toy.

It’s like I have not vacuumed my apartment for the past 3 years! It’s only been 2 weeks since I vacuumed! It got stuff out of my area rug I have had for years apparently!! This is a picture of just my area rug by the couch!

I still have my original, beloved Shark Liftaway but my renter wont give it back. He loves it that much! My favorite feature is how easy it is to unclip and dump canister. Love that I can wash every filter (also easy access), long, pliable cord, quiet, less than 17#, and really does a nice job cleaning. Im expecting this one to last a long time too. The bright LED light bar is a new feature. Another great design feature: it SNAPS together in 4 clicks - no tools!

This is a first impression review based on features and a first use to vacuum my whole house. Pros: The suction is absolutely amazing. It almost sticks to the floor when vacuuming a low height area rug. The swivel feature is great for reaching under furniture. Its lightweight but still very powerful.[[ The detach feature and the arm are convenient and lightweight. Cons: The upholstery attachment doesnt have a hard attachment to the suction arm. It just sort of wiggles into place but because the suction of the vacuum is so good, the upholstery attachment pops off easily. I had to hold it into place with my free hand as I was vacuuming my couch. That was rather disappointing since vacuuming my couch was a big reason why I bought this vacuum. It accomplishes that goal but is not as easy as I would have hoped. Maybe in time I will figure out a way to do it easier? No other cons, really...

I had two other vacuums Ive been using, thinking they were doing the job. My daughter took one and I wanted a better one for pet hair. I got this thing, ran it JUST in my living room and got enough hair to build another cat. I ran it again, filled to the line. Ran it AGAIN and still more dirt and lint and stuff came up. Good Lord. I cannot believe what that thing pulled up. All the while thinking I had BEEN vacuuming. This thing is a wonder. I am elderly and very petite and had no problem assembling it, pushing it and I love the swivel action. Highly recommend!

I love that its probably cleaning deeply. It sucks so hard and doesnt have power steering. Its extremely hard to maneuver even on short pile carpet. I will probably return because of how hard it is to use.

So I first bought this back in February 2020. It worked like a beast until November 2022, when it took an accidental tumble down my stairs and the hose literally split and popped beyond repair. I was sad. So I bought a new one, which was much harder to find, but find one I did! I kept the old ones canister and attachments to have extras on hand. Now for my review: It is the best vacuum Ive owned that gets up pet hair. I have one double-coated dog and three cats that seem to never stop shedding. It has excellent suction and picks up more than any other vacuum Ive owned. Its still kind of bulky clunky when detaching to clean stairs, but it still works - you just have to put in effort. The con of this vacuum other than not being invincible against stair tumbling - its so top heavy that it rarely will stand up by itself like most upright vacuums. It just falls over - while you are vacuuming with the hose and while storing it. I have to lean it in my cleaning closet so it doesnt fall over. Thats my only complaint with it.

So my previous vacuum was a tiny dirt devil cordless handheld vacuum. It was bad, very bad. It barely could suck things up that were big or small and it was horrible for spot carpet cleaning. I have seborrheic dermatitis - if you dont know what that is, think dandruff, but its on other parts of your face, and the dandruff thats on your head is 10000x worse. My computer chair is on top of a short pile carpet that is 10+ years old. Normally simple vacuums should be able to grab whatevers in the carpet and suck it up, but if youve ever dealt with flakes from seborrheic dermatitis, they look practically INVISIBLE on certain colored carpets, and even on short pile carpets they sink into the bottom layer of the carpet. This is bad because it makes it very difficult to vacuum it up, and over time those flakes disintergrate into tiny dust particles, and guess what that is food for? You betcha, DUST MITES. I would ritualistically vacuum the area around my computer table but I knew I wasnt quite getting to what was the actual problem. At first I was going to get a cheapo $60 Eureka one that I saw online, but then I thought about it - why not just get something thats a little bit more expensive but not Dyson levels of expensive and is just as powerful? Thats where this came in. Assembly was straightforward, instructions were clear. Plastic felt a bit on the brittle side for everything, but that seems to be the general case for most modern products. Hooked everything together, turned on the vacuum and DANG it was strong. I had a hard time pulling the vacuum off the carpet. Fortunately, unlike some of these other reviewers *I read the instructions*. This happens on short pile rugs and carpets - this can be easily remedied by reducing the suction through the suction ring thats near the handle. Counter clockwise for less suction, clockwise for more. You will hear an air leaking sound - THIS IS NORMAL. This is a pretty cheap and easy way for the vacuum to reduce suction - and you dont have to adjust it too far - I would say a 1/6th turn was enough to reduce the suction so I could move it around comfortably without feeling like Im fighting with the vacuum. After I cleaned the area in question - the dust cup was already HALF FULL with dust. And it wasnt the typical dust youd see from the top layer of the carpet - this thing picked up what looked like extremely fine powdered sandy/colored stuff. It was obvious that it was the flakes that have dropped from my head that got pulled into the bottom layer of the carpet. Now Im sure a standard old school canister vacuum could do the same thing and my lack of experience with vacuums is just overplaying my experience, but as you can see from the other reviews here, people who have used other vacuums before can attest to the fact that this thing is *REALLY STRONG*. Bang for buck high power for its price. Also Amazon has a payment plan thing you can use which makes the bite required to buy this hurt less as well. Another thing the manual will warn you about - the vacuum is not stable upright - lean it against the wall or around items that can support just in case it tips over or find some straps to keep it secured against.

My Dyson sucks the silt out of the carpet and so does this one. Easy assembly, light weight - easy on the shoulder Needs a longer cord. Love it!!!

I needed an upgrade from the vacuum I had because it would try pulling out dog hair but would never bring it out of the carpet. My tan carpet looked gray in areas from the black dog hair. I asked around and a few of my friends recommended a Shark Navigator. I liked the pricing and it seemed to have good reviews. I just got it today and was excited to try it. I used my old vacuum on Monday....today is Thursday. The carpeting didnt look too dirty but I still wanted to try out my purchase. It pulled out so much dirt and hair from my clean carpet. I emptied the canister and thought for fun Id weigh it to see. I could puke! It collected 0.4 POUNDS of nastiness from just the general walking area of my carpets. This wasnt even a deep clean (I didnt go under the couches or even every area of my living room).
