I love compression fittings; these enable me to fix or add plumbing myself. Used this one to extend an exterior hose line; worked out great! Shark bite is great because its a recognized brand with online community support and brand support.

Considering the difficulty of getting a plumber to come over, during the pandemic, and perform an outdoor spigot install, I was delighted to discover I can DIY it! The job required tapping into an existing water line with new PEX tubing and establish a new freeze-proof spigot on the outside of my house, and I can do this every bit as professionally as was done years ago by a professional! By doing this myself, I was able to incorporate my personal preferences like where the spigot should be installed for owner/user convenience (NOT in a crawl space no more than two feet high, spigot design that ensures no freeze-ups, angular considerations to ensure line drainage when turned off, etc. Thank you, SharkBite for making this possible!

Used this with the shark valve and this worked perfectly. Easy fit and install, just cut, clean and insert. Would buy in future.

Very fast and easy to use. I installed it with 1/2 copper tubing, cutting into an existing line to branch off. No leaks. Very happy with this product.
