> 3 dayThese SharkBite fittings are great. They appear to be manufactured to the highest quality. The material is durable and attractive. Just as everyone else keeps saying, the key to using these is the proper cutting, deburring, cleaning and measuring of the pipe prior to making the connection. With all the fittings manufactured by SharkBite it is one-stop shopping for all our plumbing projects. Enjoy!

Greater than one weekSharkbite fittings were my solution to not only replacing 2 outdoor spigots, but also found them so easy to use that I put in a spigot where I had needed one for a long time. I put in 23 feet of copper pipe to where I wanted the spigot using different types of Sharbite fittings. Very easy to do!! I would recommend that you buy the release tool.... and yes these can be taken off & used again. Also purchase the deburring tool that not only deburrs but when you put the pipe all the way into it that is the dept it should be inside the fitting. Just used a sharpie to mark that dept on the pipe. Then when your putting on the fitting you know its in correctly. They also make check valves, and I used them to stop hose water from coming back into the house. The one problem I ran into was that the pipes will rotate with these fittings. Thats a good thing when your laying out the pipes, but when you have a spigot at the end you dont want it to rotate :) So I used Milford straps. These wrap around the pipe on the end & have screws you tighten to stop it from moving at all!! The spigots I installed are compression connections........so no torch and soldering. Make straight pipe cuts, use the right tools and your ready to go. Used 10 SharBite fittings and not one dip of water from any of them!

Greater than one weekI have used these shark bite fittings on several occasions. So far I have had no leaks at all. So much easier than messing with thread tape or PVC glue fittings. Get the right tool to put them on and a little removal tool and you can even take these off and put them back on again if you have to.

> 3 dayIf you want to do your own plumbing repairs but dont like the idea of soldering copper or buying special tools to join PEX tubing, try these. Simply cut the pipe or tubing and press them into the fittings. Its that simple. First time I used them I thought there was no way they wouldnt leak like a sieve. They dont! They really are just that easy. They cost a bit more than traditional fittings but the time saved is well worth it.
