> 24 hourupdate: I have now used this pack four times and the stitching has not come apart, but it it obviously going to soon. It is disappointing because I always take care of my gear and never over fill the pockets. I broke down and bought an Osprey daylite plus. WOW, what a better quality backpack. This is a good pack, I am satisfied with it. This was my third pick before putting out big $$$ for a name brand which I did not want to do. I felt that none of the descriptions really met my needs to spend that kind of money. I had already returned a Teton (could not adjust the straps for my frame, they were too stiff and the chest strap would not tighten enuf). I also returned a Rumpumpak (it would not hold enough and I just didnt like it). But this one: PROS: 1. perfect size for keys, iPhone or gps, extras, lunch, sun screen, bug spray, toilet paper and stuff a small jacket in there too. 2. Bladder compartment has a reflective liner to try to keep the water cool as long as possible. 3. The straps adjust just fine, I am a female, 51, #140. The back does not sway on my back at all and does not seem to tug anywhere. 4. My back sweated some, but it was a 8 mile strenous hike, 95 degrees mostly in the sun. Overall it did well, my shirt was not drenched and i did not feel uncomfortable. Cons: 1. The bladder! Who would use a black or even green bladder is stupid. I would like to see inside to make sure it is clean and no floats. I put this one in the Goodwill and bought a Platypus (a product that I know I can trust). Plus I connected the hose to the bladder and it is WAY TOO DIFFICULT to disconnect. Life it too short. 2. There arent any attachment sites on the outside of the main pack. I fixed this by attaching those gear ties to the two straps on the side. They will work fine if I want to attach my jacket or a towel outside. My trekking poles can go into the mesh pocket and attach at the top with a gear tie. Im all set.

> 24 hourThis bag is a great size and the ‘sharkmouth’ openings are perfect to reach inside the bag. I was hunting for a bag that was more compact and this is perfect for a 5’4” slim teenager to carry without the bulkiness of a standard backpack. We needed a feeding pump backpack for our daughter while she had her NG feeding tube, with few straps I was easily able to modify this pack. I added Velcro straps to the current bladder Velcro straps (inside) to hold her bag of feed and ice pack. The monitor fit nicely at the bottom with no tube kinking. It has the thermo backing inside to keep the liquid cool. The zipper and wide ‘mouth’ opened nice a wide for quick access to every pockets and to the feeding machine as needed. Our daughter used different pockets for all the feeding pump supplies, couple of water bottles, meds, her wallet with ease. Now that the feeding tube has been removed our daughter looks forward to using this again for outings as hydration bag or regular pack.

> 24 hourI have put this bag through it! After a year of amazing hikes, everything is holding up. I’m a small female and this pack fits like a glove. It can definitely be adjusted for larger frames, but finding something comfortable for small shoulders and a small waist can be challenging. This bag keeps my water cold, and holds my regular gear. Just to give you an idea of what this thing can hold, I typically pack a light jacket, gloves, a winter hat, a ball cap, emergency blankets, lunch, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and more. I have been rained on, and everything seems to stay dry. Major bang for your buck. Would buy again.

> 24 hourUSEFULNESS: A couple weeks ago I went on a trip to Zion National Park, and I found that the 2.5 liter bladder held more than enough water to sustain my 59 135lb build, through multiple 5-7 hour hikes in the sunny Utah weather. By the end of each day I had roughly 1 liter of water left, already keeping well hydrated before hiking and using the pack. The proper weight distribution also really helped with my back troubles and made hiking with water so much more comfortable. Having hiked many times in the past with multiple water bottles or heavy canteens slung over my shoulder, Im not going back. DESIGN: I wouldnt necessarily call this backpack small, but it is very compact. In practice I found it had more than enough storage room in the insulated and middle pockets for a sandwich and other trail snacks, my DSLR camera with lens attached, a tightly-rolled windbreaker, baseball cap, beanie, wallet, and sunglasses (all of this in addition to a fully filled water bladder). For precaution, I kept all of my sharp tools in the front pocket to avoid puncturing the water bladder, such as knife/multi tool, as well as the rest of my survival essentials i.e. first aid kit, headlamp, compass, firestarter, etc. The front sternum strap has an emergency whistle molded into the buckle that I didnt notice at first, and it is definitely loud enough to get someones attention in an emergency. The shoulder straps are also ambidextrous so you can route the bladder hose through either strap you prefer, the hose clip can also be moved to either side. OVERALL: The design of this pack seemed like a great value for the price compared to many of the others I browsed on here. It has plenty of storage space with 3 zipper compartments and the side pockets are great for an extra water bottle or other incidental items. And, if it means anything at all, the Sharkmouth branding on the pack and bladder itself looks quite nice in my opinion, despite being lesser known I think this pack holds up well on the trail against well known brands like Camelbak.

> 24 hourMy 10 year old son needed a new backpack with hydration bladder for an completely outdoor based wilderness class this year, and this bag came recommended. What I love about this bag: it fits my kiddo well. The smaller size of the bag means that it isn’t bulky or too big for his body. The bag has a couple of zippered compartments. The biggest pouch is the very back, where the water bladder goes. It is lined with the silver material to help keep things cool. Along with lots of ice, I added a couple of cold packs to help in the Texas heat. The back pouch allowed for me to put some lunch items tucked into the spaces that that filled water bag didn’t take up. Note: a lunch bag will not fit in this backpack if you have the water bladder filled. You need to find space within the bag to hold lunch items. The second zipper section is a decent size, and held the rest of the lunch items and a folded rain jacket. The last pocket is smaller, and that is where we kept a small bottle of bug spray, hand sanitizer, extra masks, etc. Overall, the backpack is well made and fits great. Just realize that the holding capacity goes down significantly when the water bladder is in use.

> 24 hourI got this for work. I fill it in the morning 2/3 of the way with ice and the rest water. Keeps it cold all day and I just add water as needed. It hangs in the engine all day so if we get a call I have it right there. In the pocket I keep a battery and cell charger cable and a couple of snacks. I also throw my keys and wallet in there on calls.

> 24 hourThis is my hiking buddy. I love the compact nature of it, but it still has space for very important hiking essentials: snacks! Plenty of space for my first aid kit, too. It is comfortable and the weight distribution when the bladder is full of water is great. The liner in the water pocket keeps water very cool after a prolonged time. Easy to use and really easy to clean! Highly recommended.
