> 3 dayThe bag works well, size is just a bit small than I was thinking but does work well. The biggest issue I have is trying to get rid of the plastic/rubber taste and smell of from the water from it. Hoping it goes away with more time.

Greater than one weekThe bladder on this backpack makes your water taste awful like chemicals. If you plan on using the bladder, rinse it out a few times, soak it, and the next day remove the water, and hopefully it leaches out the chemical taste. The backpack itself is great, kept my water cold in the Arizona summer heat. Overall, satisfied with this purchase.

Greater than one weekGreat quality. Bladder is perfect size for day hike. Perfect storage for a few essentials…eg., lunch, snacks, attire. Bought 4 of these in various colors for family and friends. Personalized each one with a “Glacier” Patch to earmark a recent family & Friends trip to the crown jewel of the continent….mountains, nature and wildlife are fantastic!!

> 3 dayGreat little pack for day trips. Nice and expandable and can hold a good amount. We typically use it for snacks and extra clothes when we hike. Ive only used the water bladder once, but it worked great. No leaks. Pack is lightweight and comfortable. I wouldnt recommend it for an overnight trip, unless your an extremely light packer. I wont say its undoable, but it would be tight. Especially if youre some place cold and need to pack thick warm stuff. Weve used ours nearly every weekend since purchasing it and so far all the zippers work great, no rips or tears. Seems to be made of good sturdy material. I recommend it, especially for short day trips where you dont want to lug around a big pack!

> 3 dayIve been using this a lot this summer. The only issue Ive had is the two openings/holes at the top of the bladder it came with have broken. It just means that I cant use the two velcro strips to hold the bladder upright in the compartment. This has not affected performance of the bladder or pack, however. Bladder isnt leaking and no straps are frayed or showing signs of wear, and Ive taken it on two camping trips, countless hikes and random day trips this hot summer with my kid so we have food and, more importantly, water. Price is unbeatable for the quality of the product. In the past I had used a pack and bladder half the size of this one, but I was doing long distance and trail runs. I wouldnt run with this pack, too big. But its great for hiking, camping and fishing. Can fit food, water, medical kit stuff in it without any problem.

> 3 dayIve used the same hydration backpack for about the last 10 years and pretty much every time I used it I complained but hey I had it and it worked. Finally broke down and bought this to replace the old one. Im absolutely in love. My last bag had all these stupid straps and elastic cords hanging off of it to carry things but only ended up getting in the way. This bag is sleek, pockets are fairly large for a hydration backpack. The bladder area easily holds a 3l bladder and the material inside does a good job of keeping things insulated and cold. My one and only gripe is the bladder attachment points. I understand it was designed for the bladder that it comes with and I use a different type but velcro loops are never a good idea as far as Im concerned. Theyre a pain to use and begin to fray far too easily as you can see in the pictures. I use my backpack nearly every day for work and they are holding up well, I just have to be careful when detaching the bladder and not ripping more threads off. Overall though I highly suggest this backpack. I would without a doubt still buy it again.

Greater than one weekMy 10 year old son needed a new backpack with hydration bladder for an completely outdoor based wilderness class this year, and this bag came recommended. What I love about this bag: it fits my kiddo well. The smaller size of the bag means that it isn’t bulky or too big for his body. The bag has a couple of zippered compartments. The biggest pouch is the very back, where the water bladder goes. It is lined with the silver material to help keep things cool. Along with lots of ice, I added a couple of cold packs to help in the Texas heat. The back pouch allowed for me to put some lunch items tucked into the spaces that that filled water bag didn’t take up. Note: a lunch bag will not fit in this backpack if you have the water bladder filled. You need to find space within the bag to hold lunch items. The second zipper section is a decent size, and held the rest of the lunch items and a folded rain jacket. The last pocket is smaller, and that is where we kept a small bottle of bug spray, hand sanitizer, extra masks, etc. Overall, the backpack is well made and fits great. Just realize that the holding capacity goes down significantly when the water bladder is in use.

> 3 dayUSEFULNESS: A couple weeks ago I went on a trip to Zion National Park, and I found that the 2.5 liter bladder held more than enough water to sustain my 59 135lb build, through multiple 5-7 hour hikes in the sunny Utah weather. By the end of each day I had roughly 1 liter of water left, already keeping well hydrated before hiking and using the pack. The proper weight distribution also really helped with my back troubles and made hiking with water so much more comfortable. Having hiked many times in the past with multiple water bottles or heavy canteens slung over my shoulder, Im not going back. DESIGN: I wouldnt necessarily call this backpack small, but it is very compact. In practice I found it had more than enough storage room in the insulated and middle pockets for a sandwich and other trail snacks, my DSLR camera with lens attached, a tightly-rolled windbreaker, baseball cap, beanie, wallet, and sunglasses (all of this in addition to a fully filled water bladder). For precaution, I kept all of my sharp tools in the front pocket to avoid puncturing the water bladder, such as knife/multi tool, as well as the rest of my survival essentials i.e. first aid kit, headlamp, compass, firestarter, etc. The front sternum strap has an emergency whistle molded into the buckle that I didnt notice at first, and it is definitely loud enough to get someones attention in an emergency. The shoulder straps are also ambidextrous so you can route the bladder hose through either strap you prefer, the hose clip can also be moved to either side. OVERALL: The design of this pack seemed like a great value for the price compared to many of the others I browsed on here. It has plenty of storage space with 3 zipper compartments and the side pockets are great for an extra water bottle or other incidental items. And, if it means anything at all, the Sharkmouth branding on the pack and bladder itself looks quite nice in my opinion, despite being lesser known I think this pack holds up well on the trail against well known brands like Camelbak.

> 3 dayI bought this Camelback knockoff because I needed one to replace a Camelback I had loaned out. This is a superior product at half the price. It seems the manufacturer thought through all the little details. It is light, and small, when the squish straps are in place. It easily expands to a large enough size to carry a jacket, and some food, along with a bike pump, patch kit and tool set. I highly recommend it for biking or for a day pack.

> 3 dayFirst the good: i loved the size of the backpack. It has a storage area for the water reservoir which is insulated, along with three other zippered area for storing stuff. There are also elastic areas on the side with straps higher up, which is where i stored my walking sticks when not using them. Very light, feels like it will last. What i didnt like: the insulated area created condensation when i placed a chilled water reservoir in that space. It got my back wet as it leaked through. Also, the water bladder itself and drinking tube. The tube has to be screwed in; it doesnt snap. It is slightly difficult to attach. Also, the tube has to be attached to the bladder or else it will leak. The tube also has insulation around it, but it doesnt really keep the water cool.
