Shimano SPD SL cleats are made in Japan. These cleats came in a generic plastic sleeve with the Shimano cardboard taped to it. These are not authentic. They were made in China. You can see the tape someone put out together. Do not buy from seller Last Samurai.

Its unclear to me based on other reviewers comments whether these are in fact genuine Shimano products despite being marked as such. They certainly dont appear to be based on durability. Mine lasted 3-4 rides.

Read after that would ship from China and would take a long time. It didnt. The price saving was worth the wait.

SPD-SL. The basic 3-bolt road cleat system. Its wider than 2-bolt, giving better power transfer and foot comfort. The cleats are made out of plastic, so they disintegrate in 8 months of commuting, because that means putting your foot down on pavement several times a day and the plastic just isnt meant for that.

Work well but being plastic do wear quickly unless you always use cleat covers when off the bike.

wish they wouldnt wear out so soon. Like having to buy razors.

Sorry but I have to honest . The quality of this product isn’t the best. Cleats are one the most important items for support and safety of a cyclist. If they are not reliable can be dangerous
