My new glass cooktop is a pain. Its tiny mesh pattern makes it hard to clean and it is easily scratched. Sigh. I use this mat to protect it so I can put things, such as cutting boards and cups and dishes on the surface when the burners are cold. I especially like this silicone mats raised edges because they will contain spills, and its food grade silicone, whatever that means. It can be easily wiped or washed in the sink, and rolled up for storage. I dont care whether the raised printed information will wear off because I dont need it for rolling out pastry. I also like the light color. Amazon carries mats that are specifically sized to fully cover the entire glass area, but they are made of an absorbant, fabric-like material and are supposed to be kept unfolded, their full size, when not in use. I do NOT want spills to be absorbed, they may be difficult to wash, and I especially do not want a large item that cannot be folded or rolled for storage. This silicone mat is a bit small, but covers enough area for the space to be useful.

Just received yesterday, so have not had a chance to use yet, but am very pleased. The ease of the silicone rolling and unrolling is what I was looking for. Can’t wait to start baking.

We use this to roll out cookies and pastry and to knead our breads. Makes clean up quick and easy the rolls up to fit nicely in the cabinet drawer.

Purchased to roll out pie dough, as well as knead bread. Worked well! And stayed in place on the counter.

The mat stays flat on the counter and its easy to store since it rolls up easily.

This mat is perfect for baking! It is large enough, keeps my dough all on the mat because of the ridges, easy to clean, adheres to my granite, no slipping. Great measurement markings! I love it!!

This is a great product. It gives ma a huge area to roll dough or make other messes on the counter. When done, simply wash it and roll it back up for storage. I’m very pleased.
