SINGER 00258 Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure, 96-Inch

good quality material, will stand up to repeated use over time. Goes above & beyond ~ no really, I didnt think it would be as long as it is, so it surpassed my expectations and has a bonus metric side I may never use.

Overall good. Good price. Didnt like the smell coming out of that material. May be it ll go away in few days. Easily readable font and seems accurate

As advertised - good quality. The only negative is that the 1 inch mark is on the inside of the wound up tape making you unroll the entire tape to use it.

I lined this up to two other accurate tapes and this was identical. The only caveat being after the first inch which is standard for almost every tape measure. As a warning for those uninitiated; tape measures are not accurate the first inch due to the various metal tabs or sewing on the ends. You should always start at inch 1 or 12 depending on your needs. Mine was 1/32 off, which does not sound like much, but you need to take that into consideration. Again, this is the same for all tape measures. Also, the kinks of being folded in the packaging were straightened within a day of being rolled up in my junk drawer. Singer makes great products, Ive never been steered wrong.

It is a nice tape measure made of finer glass reinforced fabric (rather than vinyl) so there is a little risk of it stretching. However as others have noted the metal piece at the one inch end of the tape shortens the tape so that about 3/32 have to be added to every measurement. The SINGER brand used to be a guarantee of quality. It is a shame that is no longer the case.

This tape is exactly what I needed. I purchased it to help track my fitness gains/losses. Happy with my purchase!

Had to dock a star because you can tell this thing isnt going to last long, but its nice for a dollar. Dont typically need a 96 inch tape measure of this type, but it doesnt hurt to have around
