SINGER 00258 Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure, 96-Inch

Its yellow and it measures things Thats all I needed from it, right? To be honest, the color was just bonus.

I make dog leashes that are 6 feet. I got this because of the longer length. It is what you would expect from a tape measure. No slivers, no ends popping off. The only flaw is they dont show the feet marking so I just used a sharpie to create them just for ease. I am really glad to have this.

Markings are clear and readable. This isnt really worthy of Singer brand. It works but isnt the best tape I have used. It says it is made of fiber glass, I dont want to however test that with any heat tests. I think it is costly at this price point. You wouldnt regret the purchase but you wouldnt also be very excited that you bought it. There are some winding tapes with shells that you can consider unless you want something to put around your neck.

Good quality and seems like it would hold up for years to come! The silver tip looks like its very hard to break off so I dont know how it broke so fast on other peoples. They probably got a defect or probably treat it like crap. Take care of it meaning dont slam the metal piece on the ground and you should be fine! I would buy it again if I had too haha.

Does what its intended for, i have no complaints

I lined this up to two other accurate tapes and this was identical. The only caveat being after the first inch which is standard for almost every tape measure. As a warning for those uninitiated; tape measures are not accurate the first inch due to the various metal tabs or sewing on the ends. You should always start at inch 1 or 12 depending on your needs. Mine was 1/32 off, which does not sound like much, but you need to take that into consideration. Again, this is the same for all tape measures. Also, the kinks of being folded in the packaging were straightened within a day of being rolled up in my junk drawer. Singer makes great products, Ive never been steered wrong.

So soft and flexible. Was trying to figure out how long I wanted to make a shawl, and measure accurately. This extra long Singer measuring tape is perfect for doing that and will be used frequently to measure other clothing needs. I’m very happy with its flexibility, not having to fight to keep the tape straight, or trying to make it lay flat. The numbers are nice and big, making it very easy to read. Great product.

I loved this tape it is nice to have the extra lenght as well.. I also see that it says that is fiber glass instead of Vinyl when you get the package.. but I have not had a problem with it.. I also accidently sniped in to the tape with my sissoirs when I was cutting tulle but it didnt tear and has not ripped any further then the tiny snip I made.. SO I think that it has done its job and will be pay for another one if needed in the future..
