SINGER 00258 Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure, 96-Inch

> 3 dayWhy is it that you can never find a measuring tape when you need one? I end up using one of my metal measuring tapes out of the tool box unless of course, Ive misplaced those as well. I use these for multiple reasons such as measuring distances from my subjects to the camera, getting accurate dimmensions on a variety of small objects, mostly jewelry and other valuables. I also like that you can meaure in Millimeters on one side and inches the other. The tap is long (a very good thing) at 96 inches - I purchased a few and am quite happy with them - you will be too.

> 3 dayI like how the numbers are in large 50 pt. bold font and that there is both imperial and metric measurements. The tape is satin and smooth and the edges are not rough, so the measuring is comfortable. For the price this measuring tape is a boon.

Greater than one weekOne of the other reviews stated that the band in the picture is a metal clip to keep the tape neatly folded. It is not a clip. It is a shiny piece of heavy paper. It looks nice, but it is meant to be discarded. The tape doesnt seem like cloth but it is as flexible as you would expect a cloth tape to be. It isnt stiff like cheaper tapes. It has inches printed on one side, centimeters printed on the other. The fact that it measures up to 96 inches rather than 60 is great considering much of the obese population of the US is pushing a 60 inch waistline now. My own is 64 inches, so the old standard of 60 just doesnt work anymore. I am losing weight and lately have been interested in tracking my progress. Before long I should be able to use a 60 inch tape, but it is nice to have one that will let me start where I am now, not where I would like to be in the future. When I am smaller, the great news is this tape will still work! Having centimeters is a benefit, since many things are more accurately sized in centimeters.

> 3 dayThis is the full 96 inches. 96 inches of vinyl tape measuring vinyl. Yes, I used the word vinyl twice. I think that is an important point. I cant remember why I bought this, but I did and now I own it. OK, clearly it is an effective product for measuring stuff but what in Gods good name did I buy a Singer 96-Inch Extra Long Vinyl Tape Measure for? For the life of me, I simply cant remember. I know you might not care, but I care. Not like I can just throw money away on things I dont need. I bought a car once and I cant even drive.

> 3 daywonderfully large readable numbers. inches on one side, centimeters on other. enough weight that it stays laying flat where placed. for person who likes to run around with it draped around neck, perfect practical maximum length for average height woman. 5/8 wide is substantive enough so it doesnt string/stretch out for measuring things like waist. also comes in pack of 3 elsewhere on amazon

> 3 dayMarkings are clear and readable. This isnt really worthy of Singer brand. It works but isnt the best tape I have used. It says it is made of fiber glass, I dont want to however test that with any heat tests. I think it is costly at this price point. You wouldnt regret the purchase but you wouldnt also be very excited that you bought it. There are some winding tapes with shells that you can consider unless you want something to put around your neck.

> 3 dayUnlike what other reviewers has said about the first incb being cut off, mine is not. Works well, came fast, and easy to read and use.

> 3 dayGood quality and seems like it would hold up for years to come! The silver tip looks like its very hard to break off so I dont know how it broke so fast on other peoples. They probably got a defect or probably treat it like crap. Take care of it meaning dont slam the metal piece on the ground and you should be fine! I would buy it again if I had too haha.
