> 24 hourI have tried all kinds of strainers. This is the best I have ever had. It catches very small particles. I use to clean my strainer about once or twice a day with the everyday strainer. Now that this strainer catches all the small particles, I clean my strainer about 4 times a day. It catches it all. Also even having the particles in the strainer, the water still goes down to the drain with no problems at all. I love this strainer!!! Very Well made as well. I will never have to purchase another strainer again!

1; Q :can I use this over a garbage disposal opening?
A. I guess it depends on the size of the opening? I do not have a garbage disposal. But it fits nicely in my regular kitchen drain.

4.Q: Has anyone tried it for catching hair? I wash my hair in the sink, and haven’t found one, other than mesh. I need tiny holes.
A :It should would work for straining hair. I used it to pour discarded water from my portable carpet cleaning machine and it held lots of dog hair. Very convenient with attached handle and comes in a package of two. Great buy!
