I’ve dabbled with some non-HomeKit smart sockets (Feit), which work okay-ish via Siri Shortcuts but it’s not the same as true HomeKit-enabled devices. Jumped at the chance to review these. Initially, hadn’t read any reviews and wasn’t aware that there was a third-party app from the seller. I just opened the Home app on my iPhone and added the socket by scanning the QR code. Easy. Done. Works. After reading around some more, found the eHomeLife app and installed it to update the firmware on the socket. Goofed by turning the socket off, so it seemed like it wasn’t visible on the network. After using the Home app to turn the socket ON again, the eHomeLife app found the socket, added it to the app and attempted a firmware update. It was a bit goofy with the firmware update too, where the app definitively stated “firmware available” but after a few seconds cancelled out the update and effectively said “jk, it’s already up to date”. Weird. Socket still working normally through Home app. I’ve got a standing lamp hooked up to one and use a Philips wall switch (the old round one) to turn the socket / lights on. Still figuring out scripting and tricking it into on/off functionality but that’s a HomeKit quirk, not related to the product! So far so good. Will update if there are any issues but they do everything I hoped they would and seem fairly priced, so 5 stars for now!

Very easy to set up. All do you have to do is download their app plug the switch in and app takes it from there

Do not buy Meross or Refoss smart plugs. They go out right at a year. They’ll still power your device but the smart function will go out and no longer work. Mine went out 5 days after the warranty window closed and I’m no longer eligible to get a replacement.

I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the reviews after I purchased this for my home. I originally went to Target and got a competitor brand TP and had issues connecting to my HomeKit. This one worked great. Simple steps - Make sure your WiFi you select is 2.4 (not 5) - Download the app, create account - Plug in the smart plug. Make sure it blinks. - Follow prompts on the app. - Scan the QR code- should be on the plug itself. - Give the plug a name (its helpful to give it an easy name, as youll need to use it when Siri turns Kitchen Light on/ off) - Done! It took me a few times t figure out how to set a schedule. Theres various ways and scenarios you can do, and I think I got it down. Ive had it for a week, and so far the schedule is working. What I wished it had was random on/ off to make it look like I am home when I am out... but I can always turn it on remotely, or create some random schedule. Overall pleased with the product. Im not giving it 5 stars as I think theres probably something out there thats better, but to come into a home thats has a light on, rather than a dark house sure makes things feel more welcoming.

Loved it. It was great. It broke my heart when I updated to APPLE IOS 15.2.1 I get no response on any of my outlets now. I only got 2 weeks of use out of them.

I am delightfully surprised with how easy it is to set them up through Homekit. I was a bit worried at the beginning because I do not want a third party app to set them up, and you really dont want to. Just plug them in, launch the native iPhone Home app and add the accessory to your Home and boom, done in less than 2 minutes. Very responsive too. Now the question is how long will they stand the test of time. Will update this review if they failed sooner than expected.
