> 3 dayI bought these to use with the Apple Home Kit app on my phone. I do not have the Hub, so they only operate when Im at home, on the wifi. Setting them up was pretty simple; had one or two that didnt connect right away, but a 2nd attempt sorted that out. I like that I can turn them on/off from another floor and even from the garage so I dont have to walk into a dark house. Once in a while they will stop responding or show they have stopped but Ive only had once instance where a plug refused to respond. Decent functionality for the price, I am happy with these so far.

> 3 dayThese worked great, until they didn’t. They started working intermittently and then not at all. All the resetting and reconnecting in the world wouldn’t work. Updates, troubleshooting, nothing worked. Avoid these.

Greater than one weekWhat a nightmare. Even 3 pages long online PDF user manual wont help. It only goes to the Home if you have an iPhone and another messy meross app. Connectivity was not there and wasted 1 hour just to connect and disconnect-reset-start all over- scan QR code-connect to the Outlet wifi-recognized the Outlet-Disconnected-Different App-Registering email-disconnect-reset-connected-not recognized-start over-reset holding the button 5 sec- connect to the device-register Outlet-Name Light-Disconnect again---on and on and on...RETURNED the item same afternoon after the Outlet delivered. Thanks Amazon for the easy return process. * iOS Home Kit- Connects then disconnect - start all over again so I tried with Google, ** Dont get fooled by Google Assistant etc....in the description.....100% Failure with this device. *** Avoid. Period.

> 3 dayBought these smart plugs based on the reviews with one immediate task in mind. Simply turn my Christmas tree on and off. I have a lot of home automation, but this was, and will likely be my last, use of a Refoss (which is in reality Meross) product. After about three days of effort, reading countless online tips, soliciting solutions on a couple of Apple home automation discussion boards I frequent, and slow response from Refoss support, I decided to return the plugs and get a different product. The Refoss plugs would never successfully pair with HomeKit despite my following the instructions to a tee. When I finally got a response form support their solution was to pretty much deconstruct my home network and disconnect all the other automation hardware I have work. Was not going to do that. Perhaps others have had better luck, but pairing a piece of automation hardware to HomeKit should not be so difficult.

Greater than one weekIve had good luck with Meross/Refoss (really the same entity) this year with my forays into home automation. I found that these work very well at fast setup for certain use cases. For me, the use cases for smart plugs like this revolve around situations where you want a plug-in appliance to turn on/off but thats about it. In other words, if youre looking to set up moods with lighting or anything more than a simple on/off, these wont work and youre better off with a smart light bulb. For a simple I want this lamp to turn on and thats it then this is your easy solution. Pairing is done within the Home app and takes about two minutes. My main nit with this product is that, occasionally, the product will become unavailable for some reason in Home and it acts like it has lost network connection. Unplugging from the wall and plugging it back in corrects the error, but it is still a bit annoying. I think this is a Meross issue, as I have the same periodic issues with the smart light switches and garage door opener. Even at that, these are quite a bit cheaper than the alternatives from the large brands, and they work well even given the apparent network drops. A very easy way to begin home automation.

Greater than one weekI was a bit apprehensive when I saw the reviews after I purchased this for my home. I originally went to Target and got a competitor brand TP and had issues connecting to my HomeKit. This one worked great. Simple steps - Make sure your WiFi you select is 2.4 (not 5) - Download the app, create account - Plug in the smart plug. Make sure it blinks. - Follow prompts on the app. - Scan the QR code- should be on the plug itself. - Give the plug a name (its helpful to give it an easy name, as youll need to use it when Siri turns Kitchen Light on/ off) - Done! It took me a few times t figure out how to set a schedule. Theres various ways and scenarios you can do, and I think I got it down. Ive had it for a week, and so far the schedule is working. What I wished it had was random on/ off to make it look like I am home when I am out... but I can always turn it on remotely, or create some random schedule. Overall pleased with the product. Im not giving it 5 stars as I think theres probably something out there thats better, but to come into a home thats has a light on, rather than a dark house sure makes things feel more welcoming.
