Got two temperature/humidity sensors for a second home to alert us if Temp gets too low. Easy to set up. Batteries last a very long time. Smart phone alert system notifies me if Temp is too low. Product support is great. Works over long distances. I use this system in two locations in two different states, both operating through the same app, no problem. A+ rating!

I was hoping to use at our freezers in our buildings. Its less than a tenth of a mile away and it doesnt pick up.

Easy to set-up and works well. But, they should make it clear that reading updates can take up to an hour, I thought one sensor was broken until I found this information.

I have tried them all. This actually works. The temperature displayed on most freezer or fridges is not the actual temperature inside. This will fix that problem. And if someone leaves the freezer door open in a hot garage….this will let you know before it all goes bad. Truly a great investment. I needed you years ago!

Excellent product. Excellent range. I have both motion sensors and temperature sensors and they work great! When I upgraded my Internet service provider, I had to make sure all of my devices were working and had trouble getting this to connect to the new service. After spending about two hours trying to reestablish communication between the hub and my Internet, I finally called customer service. But helpful person got to the bottom of the problem almost immediately. (I had the device plugged into the modem instead of the router!!!!) So… The only problem I’ve had with the products have been my own fault. I monitor motion in my garage and car that is parked on the street and temperature at my cabin while I am at home in a different city. Great peace of mind and fantastic products!

Smart Wireless Temperature / Humidity Sensor Wide Range: $59.99 at the time of review We have had a freezer in our garage for a number of years. Unfortunately there have been a couple of different times over those years where the door was left cracked open or the circuit breaker blew and lost some or even all of our frozen food. So I finally decided to get a wireless sensor to alert me to high temperatures. *What I liked*: This is a complete kit using a proprietary wireless connection between the hub and sensors. It makes setup really easy. The sensors track temperature and humidity. The latter isn’t exactly important to me, but there are a lot of cases where you’d like to track how humid an area is so I like it’s an option. The hub syncs up via your home’s WiFi to an app on any smartphone. For me this is the bread and butter of this system. It allows me to set alerts on my phone for when the sensor is outside of the temperature range that I chose. You can also choose to be emailed alerts. We’ve already had the door left open by a guest and thanks to the alert I was able to close it before any spoilage occurred. So they’ve paid for themselves. The sensors use just one AAA battery. That makes powering them super easy as well. *What I didnt like*: Nothing, really. *The Bottom Line:* This is a fantastic system for tracking temperature. The sensors have a crazy long range (even considering that they’re inside of a fridge that almost certainly reduces signal). The temperature readings are accurate. And best of all, they connect to an app that lets me build custom alerts. Five stars out five. I love these and would definitely buy them again.

Be aware of what you buy. An other brand I bought only works on Bluetooth so you only have phone/app readings when you are near them. But this product works on wifi, so you can access them anywhere thru an app on your phone AND get phone alerts for temperature or humidity. The charting/history granularity is one hour minimum however alerts can be set for a minimum of 10 minutes. That all said if you wants alerts because of a power outage, then your wifi may be out also so you would not get alerts or readings without some backup power source. The units are battery powered and with a battery status icon on the app. The hub unit plugs into ac power. It can be set up via cable to a router or via your wifi network.

In AZ, barely open garage freezers can become very costly. We have had to refill our entire vertical storage freezer twice this year and with 2 cooks in the house, theres lots of opportunity for mishaps. This has been a welcome solution. Pros - Peace of mind. - Once setup, has worked reliably without hassle. - Has already paid for itself several times over in saved food. - Clean app interface (although some unnecessary backtracking involved). - Alerts trigger quickly and loudly on connected devices. Cons - Mobile apps only, no desktop application. - More customization would be desirable. Notes - My observations are all made using Mac devices (iPads, iPhone, Macbook) - This is not a quick setup, should allow at least 1.5hr for setup, testing and customization. - Recommend do not try to setup wirelessly, plug hub into router during setup process. - Installed on my own, but they offer assistance if needed. - I keep the alert range set @ -10F -- +18F to allow for freezers to be loaded/unloaded without alerts (temps can be adjusted to 1/10 of a degree). - May be a good low cost alternative for small business owners. Overall, very happy with this system, the 2 sensors are monitoring 2 freezers in our garage and I will be ordering more sensors soon for indoor fridge and perhaps for terrariums/vivariums.

I had recently placed a negative review of this product. However, after more attempts, we DID get it to work (via cable) and so far it is working well. I really WOULD recommend, though, that your modem has a free plug-in place. That was our problem before; getting it connected Wi-Fi can be a challenge. For now, I have freed up a place on my modem to plug in the hub, and getting the device set up and working took a little bit, but now it seems to be working fine.
