We have a lot of meat in our freezer and this is a great tool to monitor and be alerted if the temp gets too high.Sometimes those kids forget to close it all the way or if the power goes out in the garage and we dont know it. Plus if you are out of town, someone could come by and save all your frozen stuff for you. Set up was easy as long as you plug it straight into the router. Did not try the wifi method.

I had recently placed a negative review of this product. However, after more attempts, we DID get it to work (via cable) and so far it is working well. I really WOULD recommend, though, that your modem has a free plug-in place. That was our problem before; getting it connected Wi-Fi can be a challenge. For now, I have freed up a place on my modem to plug in the hub, and getting the device set up and working took a little bit, but now it seems to be working fine.

Our power goes off quite often, this system works really well to notify me of a power outage, or a rise in the temp if someone left the freezer door ajar. Twice now since I got this system, our power has gone out and my app notified me almost immediately! I’ve had this system for about three months now, besides the two therms the pkg comes with, I added one more so each freezer & the fridge are covered. So far, I’m impressed!

Using to monitor temperatures in Kitchen and Garage freezers. Also purchased YoLink Water Sensor 2 and that is working as expected. The hub and sensors have a nice look and feel. Tested high and low temperature alerts and can say they are working well so far. The YoLink app on the iPhone looks clean and works well for me. Dropped a star because setting up the hub to my WiFi network was a challenge. The hub only supports 2.4Ghz WiFi and apparently the iPhone must also be on 2.4GHz WiFi in order to set up the hub to work on a secure home WiFi network. The iPhone kept connecting to 5GHz by default and could not complete the hub setup step. Since 5GHz signals have a shorter range than 2.4GHz, I solved it by taking hub and phone to far end of house where I had a weak WiFi signal. Was then able to setup the hub to our WiFi.

Smart Wireless Temperature / Humidity Sensor Wide Range: $59.99 at the time of review We have had a freezer in our garage for a number of years. Unfortunately there have been a couple of different times over those years where the door was left cracked open or the circuit breaker blew and lost some or even all of our frozen food. So I finally decided to get a wireless sensor to alert me to high temperatures. *What I liked*: This is a complete kit using a proprietary wireless connection between the hub and sensors. It makes setup really easy. The sensors track temperature and humidity. The latter isn’t exactly important to me, but there are a lot of cases where you’d like to track how humid an area is so I like it’s an option. The hub syncs up via your home’s WiFi to an app on any smartphone. For me this is the bread and butter of this system. It allows me to set alerts on my phone for when the sensor is outside of the temperature range that I chose. You can also choose to be emailed alerts. We’ve already had the door left open by a guest and thanks to the alert I was able to close it before any spoilage occurred. So they’ve paid for themselves. The sensors use just one AAA battery. That makes powering them super easy as well. *What I didnt like*: Nothing, really. *The Bottom Line:* This is a fantastic system for tracking temperature. The sensors have a crazy long range (even considering that they’re inside of a fridge that almost certainly reduces signal). The temperature readings are accurate. And best of all, they connect to an app that lets me build custom alerts. Five stars out five. I love these and would definitely buy them again.

I’ll start out with saying I’m totally blind. I got the hardware out of the boxes and felt them over good before I started trying to get everything connected and reading documentation. The first thing I had trouble with is trying to determine where the batteries went in the sensors. When you are totally blind! This wasn’t easy. Wants I got that determined! Then I started to mess with the App. The App can use improvements to label buttons, change screens so a person with a screen reader can update settings like Alerts for temperature and humidity. Using Android and Talkback, this isn’t doable. But anyway! I got the hub QR code scanned with no issues! Next I had to spend some time to determine how to bring the hub online using Wi-Fi. That wasn’t straight forward. I would have expected to be giving that option after I scanned in the QR code but that wasn’t the case! You have to go to another screen to do that. It should ask you how do you want to connect the hub after you bound it. Next I broght on the temperature Humidity sensors! Again it wasn’t given in the documentation online that I found that you need to remove the tape that is covering the QR code and also part of the battery cover. Wants I removed that tape, I was able to scan the QR code for the sensors. Maybe for a person who can see, this is clear! But not for a totally blind person doing it on there own. I put one sensor in the freezer after I replaced the batteries with LI batterys to ensure they’ll be able to take the cold temps. The sensor is working well. Just wish I could set the Alerts to what I want on my own. The second sensor is sitting beside my weather station and looks to be very close to it. I also wish I could set the update time to a lower number from 1 hour to maybe 5 minutes to catch miner temperature and Humidity changes. The second sensor will probably go in the Air Duct. That away I can get some idea of what the AC and or heat temps are coming out of the unit. I did find one sensor was in C and I had to determine how to change it to F for temperature. You just press the button on the back of the sensor to do that. Spent a good 15 minutes looking around the App and couldn’t find it. So figured what the hay lets see what happens when I press the button on the back of the sensor. The hub and sensors work well but the App needs improvements on Android to work with Talkback. A lot of unlabeled buttons and screens that a totally blind person can’t update things on. The low/high for temperature/humidity is only just one screen that needs to be improved. There are other screens as well. Like trying to setup automation task. Reading sensor values on the main screen. All of them say 0% before each sensor and even the hub. The battery status cannot be read for any of the sensors either. Like I said a lot of unlabeled buttons in the App that a totally blind person just has to try to see what they do and hope nothing bad happens. So for me, being the App. Is so bad! Is wy I’m giving this a low star rating being a totally blind person can’t do a lot with it at all. If the App get improved so a totally blind person can use everything or at least most things! Then I would have no issue with changing my star rating.

I use these for the deep freeze I put my breast milk in. It helps me keep track of the temp and notifies me when it gets too high.it does connect to Wi-Fi so if we lose power it wouldn’t work but luckily I have a backup plan. I recommend these they have been great for me so far for peace of mind.

I have one in a detached shed and one in the attached garage. They work great and were easy to set up.

We needed these for years, didn’t even know they existed until after we had bought a wireless cooking thermometer. We have had so many items get thawed out because someone didn’t completely shut the door on the freezer in the basement and even though it has an alarm it is so soft we can’t hear it. The only one who seems to be able to hear it is my daughter. It can be going off and she’ll hear it but I can’t. This system actually hooks up to your Wi-Fi and will alert you via text if your temperature falls outside of the ranges you program for it. At first we were getting alerts a lot but since then were able to adjust the range to where we haven’t had an alert since we first got it. You are also able to monitor the temperature using the app. Very happy with purchase.

Excellent range and performance. I had spent over $150 for another sensor and even bought a range extender to try to get temp from a freezer downstairs but it still couldnt pick up signal. Returned those items and ordered Smart Wireless Themometer and water sensor for much less money and was surprised to see that all those great reviews were correct. It has great range and works flawlessly. I even bout a second system for my second home. It even picked up the signal when I tried the sensor in my next door neighbors freezer. Both systems, plus 3 extra water sensor, were still cheaper than the orignal system and extender I had returned
