It worked well at first. Now there is a crackling noise in one earcup. This was not noticable at first but has gotten progressively louder as time goes on. It causes a lot of pressue on the ear and makes it uncomfortable to use when the ANC is turned on (which was the reason i got them in the first place).

I love these headphones. Ive never had a good pair of noise cancelling over the ear headphones before this and these are amazing. The noise cancelling is as good if not better than Bose and I never thought that would be possible. The sound quality out of these is great. A little bass heavy but thats what I like. They can get very load which is something Ive struggled with other headphones when listening to my phone or something with a weak jack. I love that they use USB type c and have the ability to use a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you were on the fence seriously go watch a few more reviews and then come back and order these.

I will say first that after comparing this to competitors like Bose and Sennheiser as well as the older XM2 I chose to keep this pair. It is the best over the ear NC BT headphone Ive tried. But boy does it come with a lot of complaints.

I am a little confused by the rave reviews on these headphones. I expected much more than they delivered. The sound quality is good enough, although I am not wowed by it. I like the sleek look of both the headphones and the storage “purse.” The headphone set is comfortable on my head and the cans don’t crush my ears like some sets do. But the noice cancelling is very poor! I have used other noise cancelling headphones, so I know what the difference between ambient sound and noise cancelling should be. And these don’t provide that wall of silence. Maybe I got a bum set? The other annoyance is that the finger-touch volume changing doesn’t always work. I guess it’s fussy or something, but I can get it to work less than 50 percent of the time.

Must-have for avid listeners! Great sound, wonderful noise-cancelling, cool functions on the outer right headphone cup, and overall a great buy. Having owned a few pairs of Bose Noise Cancelling headphones before, I certainly recommend this product as a step up from older models. At the time of this review, I believe there is a newer model. Even so, this really gets the job done! Easy 5-star!!

Expensive, but thats the way it is with the best. These earphones are extremely comfortable, and have sound quality nearing the best corded earphones. They are certainly superior to any priced less. Highly recommended.

These are the best headphones I have ever owned. I have been a Bose freak for years, and rightfully so, as Bose makes some of the best headphones on the market. So, when it came time to replace my older Bose Quiet Comfort over-ear headphones, I did some research, looking at reviews, and decided to take the leap to Sony, and I am not looking back! Worried about possible dominating bass, I was delighted to hear a beautiful blend, subtle or present as appropriate. And a big soundstage to boot, as well as true quiet, so one can really hear all the notes, making having these on my ears a totally immersing and relaxing experience. I love the swipe up/down for volume and the left/right for song selection! Plus the feature that lets you override the sound if you want to talk to someone, just by placing your hand over the right side. I highly, highly recommend these headphones!!

I watched plenty of videos, read reviews, and tested the headphones at Best Buy probably close to a dozen times before pulling the trigger to purchase them. I monitored the price with camelcamelcamel and purchased them at the $300 price.
