> 3 dayThe latch on the roll out pantry on my motor home broke after 17 years. It was clearly a fatigue failure. I found the Southco marking on the original but there was no part number. Figuring the weight of the pantry was substantial when loaded I chose the 10 lbm pull model. I was counting on the holes to line up the same but alas, the protruding catch is wider than the original so I had to drill new holes for that part. The grabber piece aligned perfectly with the existing holes. Pretty quick fix although I had to remove the pantry face to ensure proper alignment with the grabber using the old, broken catch and marking the edge of the strike on the cabinet. I took off a star because these did not come with mounting screws. Fortunately I retained the screws from the original so I didnt have to make that trip to the hardware store! The protruding catch piece is more substantial than the original -- but the holes are wider so drilling new ones is required.

Greater than one weekI am so glad Amazon carries the Southco Side Catch Mount Latch. Our van has these latches and one broke (which was my fault). I like to replace with the same brand so I know it will fit perfectly.

> 3 dayThe hook part of this latch is longer than the original equipment causing a need to redrill holes for the mounting screws. This can cause alignment problems when just replacing the hook and not the grabber part. Fortunately most failures are due to the spring in the grabber. I have replaced quite a few grabber parts of these latches but only 1 of the hooks. I wish they sold only that portion since I have a lot of extra hooks.

> 3 dayPurchased to keep on hand as these things do wear out. Looks just like the one we paid $12 for at the local RV place.

> 3 dayLatch broke within a week of installation. I will go with a different type of latch. There are better latches out there.

> 3 dayEvery year I need to replace about 2 Southco latches in my RV. After about 300-500 uses they stop snapping back into place. Im already in, and dont want to drill new holes so I buy these to replace these.
