Southco C3-810 Series Passivated Plastic Grabber Catch Side Mount Concealed Push-To-Close Latch with Black Spring, 44N Pullup, Black (Pack of 2)

The latch on the roll out pantry on my motor home broke after 17 years. It was clearly a fatigue failure. I found the Southco marking on the original but there was no part number. Figuring the weight of the pantry was substantial when loaded I chose the 10 lbm pull model. I was counting on the holes to line up the same but alas, the protruding catch is wider than the original so I had to drill new holes for that part. The grabber piece aligned perfectly with the existing holes. Pretty quick fix although I had to remove the pantry face to ensure proper alignment with the grabber using the old, broken catch and marking the edge of the strike on the cabinet. I took off a star because these did not come with mounting screws. Fortunately I retained the screws from the original so I didnt have to make that trip to the hardware store! The protruding catch piece is more substantial than the original -- but the holes are wider so drilling new ones is required.

Replaced one of the units which required a lot of force to open and close. Action of new latch is much smoother. I have ordered eight more.

I replaced a factory installed Norcold refridgerator in my 5th wheel trailer with a Samsung RF18 residential stainless front refer. I needed to keep the doors shut on the new refer while on the road without drilling into the new refer box. I attached the hook latches on these catches to the face of a 1 inch x 1/4 inch alumininum plate by drilling and tapping the plate and then adhering the plate to the new refer with super strong 3M double sided tape used on automobiles to adhere trim between the upper and lower doors right to the refer box The catch mechanisms are screwed to the bottom of the top doors and the top of the freezer door. These work great to keep the doors shut and are unseen keeping the sleek and modern refer sight lines intact. It took some time but what a great addition to my trailer and I don’t need to remember putting some Goldberg scheme Velcro wrapped gizmo around the door handles to keep them closed

They seem to work but loose a star for not having any hardware to attach them. Cant supply 4 screws at this price?

good price and worked as a direct replacement for latches on my RV. Nothing wrong with the old ones, but I wanted to add some more to keep the wardrobe doors closed on rough roads.

Latch broke within a week of installation. I will go with a different type of latch. There are better latches out there.

This product is a necessity in the RV. Just wish they weren’t so Pricy! Only one part fails on these usually, so we would like to be able to purchase that part for a lesser cost. Not the hook but the catch,

Most expensive little clip that I ever purchased.....seems like a ripoff. My rv must have a hundred of them on it. I guess Tiffin must get a special buy on them. Well they broke on my refrigerator door so I had to order them. Good luck and God Bless.
