    Greater than one week

Doing some receptacle replacements in the house, this was exactly what I needed to verify the circuits were all functioning as they should. Cant put a price on safety really but this cheap little item gave me the confidence to tackle the job knowing I had power correct and that the GFI protection was ready to do its job. I also used it to check all the exterior receptacles around the house. Definitely got my moneys worth and have a nifty tool in the box for the next time.

I received the item that had obviously been tampered with. The outside blister pack had been carefully cut on both sides and the included instructions removed. While there was no way that the main item could have been removed and returned, it had definitely been tampered with.

Until this purchase, Id never used a GFCI tester. I bought it to test an old outlet that stopped working and also to test a new outlet that I installed as a replacement. It works as advertised. Be sure to insert and remove it by gripping the side; if you grip it top and bottom, it is easy to trip making it appear there is a fault.

Do not press the button GFCI Test, if you do not imagine the connection diagram. Tester is very tightly plugged into the outlet. Taking out you can tear the outlet from the wall. Pressing the button disables the cascade of sockets, if any. That is, not only the tested outlet can be disconnected, but also a similar one located on the same line. And located on another floor.
