Bought to provide a bit of extra length & so flexibility in using a hard drive with my laptop. Ok cable but it is much more temperamental than the in the box cable - the slightest movement of drive, cable or laptop and it disconnects at the laptop end and any activity underway is interrupted, causing the hard drive to require error checking.

I purchased a second hand docking station for my laptop and it needed one of these. It came in fast and works as expected, all functions of the docking station/laptop interface work correctly. Only time will tell about durability but the cable looks to be of good quality.

As the cable to my external HDD was woefully short I ordered this reasonably priced, well made and very blue replacement and it does the job perfectly with no noticeable difference in transfer speeds.

Works, does what it needs to do well

The device came with a pretty long cable that I didnt need. This was much more suited to the application and hooked right up nice and seems like a quality product.
