I purchased the Sensei-310 to replace my previous mouse that started to die, and found that this was the closest in ergonomics and shape to my old mouse in my price range. I have found it to be pretty great with only one caveat, which Ill explain later. Upon receiving the package, I was very impressed with the unboxing experience, with an attractive, thick box and nice open-cell foam holding the mouse in place. I plugged the mouse in and the drivers were automatically installed, as well as the SteelSeries Engine 3 software. After tweaking in the software to bring the DPI settings to where I wanted them, I tested it out in a couple of games of CS:GO. The movements were incredibly smooth and precise, which I greatly appreciated. In its couple of weeks of use, I have been very impressed with the build quality and feel of the mouse. The only issues I found were that the matte-finish tends to attract and oils on the skin, but it isnt as bad as on some mice, and that the software has given me a few issues. Occasionally during a gaming session the mouse will revert from my RGB settings to the stock rainbow flash, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, the software has given me no issues, and is very intuitive. Its mainly for this that I dont give the mouse a full five stars. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this mouse to anyone who likes a flatter mouse style, and wants to play any games competitively.

gonna get straight to the point here for context i play mostly fps games so my review is written specifically with fps games in mind pros: the shape is fantastic for claw and palm grippers very comfortable, build quality is good for me no double clicking issues, side buttons are very good especially for games that utilize them frequently very easy to reach and have satisfying enough clicks, the sensor is obviously very good along with pretty much all mice in this price point, rgb is nice enough if your into it theirs software you can download for some cool effects and dpi adjustment etc, scroll wheel is pretty average no complaints here. cons: the cable could definitely be better no connection issues but after using the model o or any braided cable this just feels lack luster definitely gets in the way once in a while even with a mouse bungee, weight not a con for all but for me its just a tad heavy i would recommend something a bit lighter if you havent tried a mouse under 70g you have to try one definitely helped me improve my flicks and speed, that is pretty much all the cons for me overall its a good mouse would like to see better mouse feet theyre not bad but would be nice to get some pure PTFE mouse feet glide is fine just not amazing. conclusion: great mouse for fps games if you want a mouse with a good shape and not too heavy although its not my absolute favorite it serves its purpose very well. definitely try a glorious model o or model d if you want something lighter tho GG.

While my search for the perfect mouse continues, the Rival 310 is close in a lot of regards for what Ive been looking. Im generally on my computer for 10+ hours a day, where my work is mouse-heavy at times and my playtime is gaming. My goal has been to find a mouse that works well whether Im on the clock or off since switching mice out is a pain. Ive owned many different makes of mice, most recently being the G502 Proteus Spectrum(

Love it for all PC needs; previously used a popular performance mouse from a different well known company which had shoddy construction and unreliable software. This product won me over to now being a very loyal SteelSeries customer. Ive had it over a year and it has not disappointed, the feel is great, the software is excellent and reliable. Absolutely love this mouse, and the SteelSeries QcK mousepads to go with it. If you build quality, reliable products with good construction, you will create loyal customers. SteelSeries did a great job.

This is my first left handed mouse. in the past, the only left handed mice i could find and like 12 buttons and were for hardcore gamers. I felt guilty ordering it, because my old mouse, although showing wear and tear, still worked. Boy am i glad I went for it. It is light, very precise, the software for it is actually good which I cannot say about R---r or L-----ch or any of the cheap CN knockoffs ive gotten. Right out of the box, the polling rate and DPI settings are exactly what I use, they know their gamer audience. The biggest surprise tho was the simple rubber-ish grip on both sides - I am more of a claw user and didnt realize how much energy I was putting into just moving my old slick plastic mouse. Not only is it more snappy and accurate to use, it is FAR less fatiguing! I am o glad I took a chance on SteelSeries!

Any mouse at this price range from a reputable manufacturer will have the sameish mid-high tier sensors. This comes down to feel and shape. Everything not mentioned consider excellent. Hand size: Large (18x10cm) | Grip: Fingertip - Shape is ergo with a low bump in the mid-rear left side - A great in-between shape of ergo and ambidextrous - Unique pearish shape, truly the highlight of the mouse; slightly flat narrow front, slightly wide ergo rear - Unbelievable casual comfort and precise aim control - Rubber grips! I like them - Shell is NOT butter smooth or slippery, it is a near perfect textured surface A great mouse for Medium or Large hands and Palm or Fingertip grips; an absolute must buy if you are fingertip with large hands

This review is aimed at PC Gamers. If you are a casual PC user then most of this will not apply to you. Too many people wrongfully think mouse reviews made by someone with a different size hand and/or grip style will translate into a mouse that will work for them as well. The fact is it usually does not work that way unless you have detailed info on the reviewers grip style and hand size just for starters! Then if your hand size and grip style dont match the reviewers then you might as well go play roulette because your odds of winning it big are about the same. So with that said I have large hands though that is due to my palm size and not my finger length. I use a combination of a claw and fingertip grip. My thumb, ring finger , pinky and my palm area just above my wrist ALL MUST rest on the mousing surface. Because my thumb always rests on the table/mouse-pad that also dictates the thumb buttons placement reference where my thumb sits on the mouse. It also means that mice with a thumb rest (ie. proteus core) are out as well. I have enough hours spent playing games and in general computing that I can say definitively that if a mouse does not accommodate those characteristics then I WILL not use it, period. So with that out of the way the SteelSeries Rival 310 checks all of my boxes! It does not mean it will work for you! However if you have several similarities to my style of grip them it just might! As for build quality etc, well I have about 18 months of use out of mine at the moment which equals almost any mouse I have used in the past before something breaking. People complain about the rubber coating breaking down around the thumb button area where your thumb rests. Yes that does happen and unless they have improved it in the last 18 months it WILL happen to you as well. Because the mouse works so well for me I have decided to live with it, your mileage may vary! My final thoughts on this mouse is that I like it enough I have purchased (on sale of course) 3 of them for backups! Why buy backups you might say? Well nothing lasts forever and companies do not always continue to make products because you personally like them. Also companies have a tendency to make improvements to their products which may or may not actually work for you. I have had both things happen several times so that is my reason for backups. For those of you that actually read all of this and may write your own review in the future regarding mice please do the following. At the minimum explain your grip style and hand size. To those of us who play PC games A LOT that means so much more than ohh those led lights look so cool in the dark garbage.

I got this to replace my Mamba TE. Ive had problems with every razer mouse. This just works. i dont need to calibrate it or anything. None of the problems Ive had with razer. My complaints: it isnt that ergonomic. I think that is because it is ambidextrous. However, I am used to it. I also miss having tilt buttons in the mouse wheel. It is also very light. I actually like a bit more weight in my mouse. You can use the side buttons on the opposite side of the mouse, but it feels awkward. Otherwise, if you want a decent gaming mouse, I would recommend this.

I use my computer to an unhealthy degree, and I use my mouse almost constantly. My old mouse was a SteelSeries that held up for a long time, and this one has been doing great as well. I like the simple design and extra buttons. Ive had a minor issue with the software changing the color of my mouse LEDs even when I dont want it to, but it doesnt impact useability, just sort of annoying. The only real downside is that the padding on the sides will slough off of the mouse given enough use, but its not a big deal for me either.

2nd time buying this mouse; after about a year, the grip fell off exposing the hard underneath which was super sticky with glue.. other than that, it was a really good mouse at a pretty good price, so I ordered another one. This one feels like it might come off sooner than a year and the grip is kinda more slippery than I remember on the previous one. But compared to other mice, this is still a solid mouse. Other mice often fail in some way after a year or two, like clicks not getting registered or occasional extra clicks... havent had that experience with this one, its just the grip coming off after a while, and in this case, the grip is just a little slicker than I wanted.
