Do not buy this flashlight its a piece of garbage. Purchased two of these the first one stopped working within a week returned to amazon. Second is acting up the battery life at 1000 lumin is not 1.5 hours as the manufacturer claims its about 5 minutes will be returning this one as well. The positive reviews must be from an earlier model, pay attention to the reviews from late 2016 and 2017.

Super bright light strobe is crazy not sure in life span on batteries yet , but will light up the street easily!

This light would have come in handy during the Blitz of London in 1940. I am sure it would have spotted high-altitude bombers and likely would have ignited lower-flying aircraft. It is an insanely bright, handheld flashlight. Understand that I once used a three-cell Maglite that was about 60 or 70 lumens and thought that I held the power of the sun. This light, which comes in a size similar to the 250-lumen lights of 15 years ago, runs a ridiculous 1,000 lumens. Every time I turn it on, I expect it to have a recoil similar to a large caliber handgun and to make small woodland creatures caught in the beam to burst into flames. I am even impressed by the useable battery life. If you have a need for a handheld light in the 1,000-lumen range, this is your tool.

I want to like this product, but I struggle to do so. Ive returned one until so far with tailcap issues, and now my second units tailcap is starting to malfunction. I use this product and the home and for camping. I would never trust my life with one of these, Id pay the upcharge and go with Surefire. Streamlight needs to seriously step up their quality control.

Great light but I dropped it and the glass broke. It seems like this is the weak point in it. Ive yet to receive word if Streamlight warranties it. I hope I can get a replacement unit before shipping it. I use it at work (Im a mechanic) and its the only flashlight.

Best flashlight I ever owned

Streamlight has become my go-to for all lights. Ive replaced my old Surefires with them at a fraction of the cost. This particular light fits my kit a bit better than its smaller brother due to the flared lens end, and it also makes it easier to pick up and use in the dark. It seems sturdy enough and hopefully will hold up as well as the others I have. My only concern is that it does feel lighter than my older models. Im not sure if there were material changes or design changes or both, but time will tell. If it lasts me 5 more years of daily use Ill be happy. Feels like it should.
