If you are looking for an easy way to go complex embroidery this is perfect. All you do is print the design on the special fabric paper. then place it on the piece of fabric and sew on top of it. Then you just wash it off and it comes out looking super clean like it was not even there. I find this very helpful if I am trying to embroider words on something because it makes it super easy to line up all the letters so they do not look off.

It prints perfect with a laser printer, adheres easily, and removes without a problem with warm water. I soak it in warm water a couple minutes, and it floats right off. Running it under a warm tap quickly rinses all of it off then. One thing I found: if your pattern is printed close to the edge of the Sulky, it can lift when pushing a needle through. The solution: leave a border! It makes it a tiny bit harder to push a needle through, but not by much.

I love this product ever since I found out it was better to use this compared to its’ water solvy counterpart. I can find/buy a pattern or stencil online and it’s so easy to just print like with regular paper. The only thing I don’t really like is that after maybe some time the adhesive does slowly stretch and comes off. Which I get that that is the purpose it just awkwardly moves the pattern a bit. Other everything about it is great! 10/10 probably gonna buy so much of this.

I ordered this to use to make my own hand embroidery patterns. I just started on the first one last night. It was very easy to print on, trim and apply to my fabric. However, as I embroider, the adhesive from the sheet gets on the needle and then my fingers. Ive solved this by wiping my fingers and needles with alcohol between each thread color. Kind of a pain, but it seems to be working so far.

This is a great product for hand embroidery. I have had issues with iron on transfers being too faint to see properly (and I followed all the directions) Just print out the design, cut it out and position it on your fabric. It disappears completely when immersed in water and no residue left behind. Ive used it on cotton and linen and had no problems. Update 2/27/2017 - Ive been using this product for a couple of years for hand embroidery projects. If your image is large it can shift in the hoop so leave enough room around the edges so you can baste the piece to your fabric. I also use a 1/2 teaspoon of Calgon Water softener in warm water when I am ready to dissolve the stabilizer. This helps with any residue in tight places.

Cannot express how wonderful this product is! Purchased again! Printed and Etsy pattern and sticks to linen fabric perfectly.

You are able to print a design directly from your computer printer onto the Fabri-solvy then stick that onto your fabric and either hand or machine embroidery or stitch right onto it. It can completely replace using a light box or some other method to transfer a design to your fabric. When youve finished stitching, just rinse the Fabri-Solvy out with warm water. I like to do free-motion embroidery on quilts and this is great for that. Two things I wasnt expecting: first, the product doesnt stick very well to the fabric until you begin stitching, so you still need to put in a few pins to hold in place when you start out. Second, the directions sound like you just need to swish your piece through water a little bit to remove it, and it takes more rinsing than that. Ive been squirting projects very, very thoroughly with the hose thingy on my kitchen sink for about 5 minutes. Other than those two small drawbacks, though, I love this product. So very much easier than marking a design directly on fabric. To expensive (for me anyway) to replace marking an entire quilt top for quilting, though.

I haven’t tried to remove it yet, so that could get interesting. So far, I’m very pleased with how easy it was to print directly on to the material and how well it has stuck to the canvas of my project. I can see so many fun projects in the future with this product!

This stabilizer works great in places where other stabilizers dont stay in place. Its easy to press on the fabric and stays in place It takes a long time to get it rinsed off completely and it gets very sticky and gluey in the rinsing process.

Hate tracing your embroidery patterns onto your permanent fabric? This is for you! Just photocopy your pattern onto the Sulky Sticky Fabri-Solvy sheet, peel from the backing and place the sheet onto your permanent fabric, embroider as normal. When you are done wash your finished product as you would normally and the backing dissolves. Just as though it was never there. So much easier and less chance for error.
