> 3 dayThis is the easiest way I’ve found to embroider any design onto clothing!! I just put a sheet in my printer, choose a design I want to trace, then print and stick it onto my shirt. It comes off easily with water and then in the wash all the leftover ink residue comes off! I absolutely love this stabilizer

Greater than one weekLove this product. I’m new to embroidery and have used this to print pictures on to embroider, making the learning process easy. I ONLY use a hoop smaller than the page so that it stays taught as I’m stitching. Tip 1: I have is to clean the needle as soon as it gets tougher to stitch- the ‘glue’ builds up on your needle and just needs cleaned off! Tip 2: I take my project out of the embroidery hoop and rinse. I don’t use soap! Any tough spots I lightly rub with my fingers. Then lay flat to dry and put back in the hoop!

> 3 dayIm fairly new to embroidery and have been using tracing paper a lightbox, and tracing pencil that is Red. I have been looking for a way to have my pattern show up darker so its easier to follow and the Sulky Solvi is a GAME CHANGER! I followed the directions and put a piece of the paper into my laser printer and brought up the image on my computer and hit print. The image prints beautiful on the Sulky Solvi (I can see it soooo well)! The paper backing comes off with ease and you place your sticky side of the pattern down on water your are embroidering on. Get your needles and thread going - you will LOVE being able to really see the pattern well! Once your project is complete, follow the directions by gently agitating it in water a few minutes to remove the sticky paper. I helped it along by using my fingers to gently rub in places. Rinse well and let your project air dry. There was no sticky residue left. Game Changer for me - this will be the way I put my pattern down from now on - thanks Sulky!!!

> 3 dayThis product printed perfectly with my laser printer, though I had been wary since heat can ruin it. Ive also hand traced embroidery patterns on to it with a variety of pens, heat-remove pens, pencils, etc, as well as a variety of cottons and evenweaves. It has removed cleanly from every project with water at about medium pressure or higher. I do have to say, I have any projects going at once, always, and the longer the solvy has been on the project the more it bubbles up from some adhesive wearing away. But as long as I began sewing already it really isnt a problem. If you use several small pieces on the same one, maybe dont adhere them unless youll be sewing those pieces within the month. I will definitely buy it again and again.

> 3 dayI purchased this self adhesive and then learned that there are some counterfeits out there that might ruin your project and not dissolve. I tested the product before I started my project and was so pleased that it dissolved just as it should!!!

> 3 dayThis product worked wonders for cutting thin stretchy fabric. I just peeled off the backing and applied it to the fabric. I was even able to draw on it with a pencil so I could measure the pieces of fabric that I needed. I drew the pieces of fabric that I needed to cut right on the stabilizer, then I drew a small margin around the edges of the pieces to use for a guideline for my hand sewing, so my stitches would be even and straight! I kept the stabilizer on while I did my sewing because it made the fabric so much easier to work with. After all the sewing was done, I rinsed the pieces (one at a time) with warm running water and the stabilizer just melted away! I had to rub the places where I had sewn the fabric to get the stabilizer out from between the stitches, but it was super easy and kind of fun to watch it melt away! After the fabric dried, there was no trace left of the stabilizer. This was my first time using a stabilizer and Im definitely a fan of this stuff! No tearing or cutting needed to get rid of it, just water! Just be careful not to get it wet until youre ready to remove it!

> 3 dayThe Sulky Printable Fabric Solvy stabilizer, 8.5 x 11 12-Pack, White is a very good product. I use this product for hand embroidery. Its not very tacky and is very easy to dissolve in water.

> 3 dayThis worked great the first time I tried it. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Easy to print on and apply Because its semi-opaque white, you can use it on dark fabric Easy to remove when finished Cons: Makes your needle sticky (the biggest con) Because its semi-opaque, you cant really see how your thread looks with the fabric underneath It peeled up a bit at the edges. If doing again, I might leave myself more of a buffer around my design. I didnt want to waste it, so I printed two designs on one sheet. Its definitely the easiest transfer method Ive used yet for embroidery. For reference, I have tried t-shirt transfers, which I had to peel off tiny pieces at a time; transfer pencils, which faded before I was through stitching (and which I couldnt use on darker fabrics); and drawing straight onto the fabric with quilting pencil, that never came off as well as I would have liked. Ill be looking into the other types of Solvy to see if any of the others dont do the sticky needle thing, but Im glad I still have several sheets of this stuff left!
