I ordered this to use to make my own hand embroidery patterns. I just started on the first one last night. It was very easy to print on, trim and apply to my fabric. However, as I embroider, the adhesive from the sheet gets on the needle and then my fingers. Ive solved this by wiping my fingers and needles with alcohol between each thread color. Kind of a pain, but it seems to be working so far.

This is a great product for hand embroidery. I have had issues with iron on transfers being too faint to see properly (and I followed all the directions) Just print out the design, cut it out and position it on your fabric. It disappears completely when immersed in water and no residue left behind. Ive used it on cotton and linen and had no problems. Update 2/27/2017 - Ive been using this product for a couple of years for hand embroidery projects. If your image is large it can shift in the hoop so leave enough room around the edges so you can baste the piece to your fabric. I also use a 1/2 teaspoon of Calgon Water softener in warm water when I am ready to dissolve the stabilizer. This helps with any residue in tight places.

Just completed my first hand embroidery project using Printable Sulky. Overall, I think its great. I did not have any problem with sticky needles or the product not sticking to my fabric. As this project was intricate, tracing would have been a no-go -- it would be too hard to get everything traced perfectly. My only issue is that when I rinsed out the sulky after the embroidery was finished, all of my white flowers look gray. The colors look fine, but Im going to have to go over the white embroidery with another layer of white. I did use the draft setting on my printer, and it was easy to see while embroidering, but the printer ink left a gray residue. To be fair, this was not a project I could put into the washing machine because of the fabric and the type of embroidery. This isnt a deal-breaker for me but I just wanted to make any other customers aware that if theyre doing a lot of white embroidery, ink residue could be an issue. I will certainly use this product again, and will try setting the printer to print in a light color, maybe a light blue.

I was skeptical when I ordered this. I thought it would be too thick or too sticky, but I was wrong! Great way to create your own designs without the hassle of tracing & transferring. It does have a thickness to it and you will want to use a sharper needle to make sure youre getting through without stretching the paper or fabric. Absolutely easy to remove. Couple of swishes in warm water, little rubbing here and there and its gone! I will buy this again!

So easy to copy, stick, & hand stitch my embroidery projects. Washes off easily. Hand work is becoming a rarity, this makes easy work of embroidery.

I don’t use the phrase “Life-changing” often when it comes to products, but this truly does earn that title! I have tried all sorts of different methods for pattern transfer, and this one is the easiest, quickest, and cleanest by far. This is a must-have for anyone who creates their own patterns. Side note, does anyone have the need for a drawerful of tracing paper, iron-on pencils, and water soluble pens? Because I certainly won’t be using them anymore!

This product worked wonders for cutting thin stretchy fabric. I just peeled off the backing and applied it to the fabric. I was even able to draw on it with a pencil so I could measure the pieces of fabric that I needed. I drew the pieces of fabric that I needed to cut right on the stabilizer, then I drew a small margin around the edges of the pieces to use for a guideline for my hand sewing, so my stitches would be even and straight! I kept the stabilizer on while I did my sewing because it made the fabric so much easier to work with. After all the sewing was done, I rinsed the pieces (one at a time) with warm running water and the stabilizer just melted away! I had to rub the places where I had sewn the fabric to get the stabilizer out from between the stitches, but it was super easy and kind of fun to watch it melt away! After the fabric dried, there was no trace left of the stabilizer. This was my first time using a stabilizer and Im definitely a fan of this stuff! No tearing or cutting needed to get rid of it, just water! Just be careful not to get it wet until youre ready to remove it!
