These work perfectly in our outdoor light fixtures, which we also purchased from Amazon. Very pleased with these bulbs!

Put these bulbs over my garage front and in my post light. Have struggled in the past to find a solution for dusk to dawn as the screw in adapters did not work properly and bulbs were always lit. These work perfectly. Love the brightness and warmth but not too yellow color. Have only been using for a few months but so far I love them!

These would be PERFECT if they actually lasted. The dusk to Dawn feature is exact, shuts off and turns on, on its own. However, they died after 20 days of use... I would not recommend this product due to the longevity.

I like the DUSK-TO-DAWN feature - The bulb powers on automatically when the sun goes down. The photocell sensor detects light levels to act as automatic night light. Note: It work great.

A little too bright, but works like a charm.

Love the traditional Edison style of these bulbs. Installed in industrial style canopy lights. Built in photocell works great for my outdoor lights on my pole barn.

I tried this on my front porch light but the bulb stayed lit and wouldnt go out even during mid day. I tried the other bulbs in the box, but none worked correctly. I returned to Amazon immediately.

Ideal for porch lighting in a weather-shielded location. The sensor works well. A couple of months use so far, so expected lifetime is unknown. I only need two and bought a 5-pack, so Im set for a long time. I expect lifetime is the same as any incandescent bulb. In my application where the porch light might be left on for days, this automatic shutoff is more economical for electricity and for bulb life. Overall, recommended!

Where do I use an ST64 light bulb?

These glass bulbs with their high tech LED filament inside provide a retro styling to any space. This ST64 LED Filament Bulb with Dusk to Dawn is wet rated and designed for exterior use. Add it to lanterns or wall sconces on your exterior walls or porch, to pendant fixtures in your outside dining areas, or any retro light fixtures like gooseneck barn lights. They may also be suitable for string lights with an E26 base.

What is a Dusk to Dawn Sensor?

Sunco Dusk to Dawn lights improve your outdoor security and provide bright light with the convenience of automated night lighting. Our D2D bulbs turn on when the sun sets and automatically turn off when light is detected. Just switch it on to power the LED and let the included sensor do all the work. No timer is needed. Automated lighting helps create the illusion your house is occupied, even when it is not. These clever lights activate on their own so you can run a last minute errand after work and still have exterior lights on when you return after dark.

Why does my Dusk to Dawn light flash on/off?

Sometimes reflective surfaces can fool a Dusk to Dawn sensor into thinking there is sufficient light available, so the light turns itself off. It then registers no light detected and turns itself back on. This continues in a loop of off/on/off/on so that the light can appear to be strobing or flashing.

Consider these potential solutions: 1. Point lights away from one another so their beams to do not strike the D2D sensor in nearby light fixtures, 2. Use a dual bulb fixture with bulbs pointing in different directions, 3. Move a light fixture above a garage window or away from a doorway window will reduce the chances a reflective surface might mimic a light source and fool the D2D sensor.

Do I need a timer to set the Dusk to Dawn feature?

No, there is no timer needed for Dusk to Dawn bulbs. Flip on the light switch and the included Dusk to Dawn Sensor does all the work for you. It turns on when light is absent and off again when light is detected.

What does Wet Rated mean & why is it important?

The terms Wet Rated in our product descriptions and technical specifications refer to moisture ratings. Safety should be the main focus when you choose wet rated light bulbs. Since water is a conductor you want to eliminate accidental electrocution to protect the people who install and use light fixtures, including your family, visitors, and clients. Using Wet Rated light bulbs is appropriate for wet areas where dripping water, rain, or other liquid that could flow or splash against your light fixture or LED bulb. Sunco indicates the moisture rating in our technical specifications so you know our products meet set standards. Wet areas are not just exterior locations (though you can only use Dusk to Dawn bulbs outside). Use Wet Rated light bulbs in kitchens and bathrooms in select safety zones. Established safety zones identify areas that might be susceptible to exposure to water, such as near a bathtub or sink faucet.

What are warm lights or cool lights? What about color temperature?

Color temperatures are measured in degrees of Kelvin (K) on a scale from 1,000 to 10,000. This measurement allows you to describe the quality of a light. Commercial and residential lighting applications typically use from 2000K to 6500K color temperatures. Lower color temperatures offer a warmer look. They are more amber, yellow, or a warm white. High color temperatures offer a cooler look. They range from white to blue to blueish silver. Light can help create a mood or define room ambiance.
