06-06-2025So far they are doing their dusk to dawn thing perfectly. Interested how long they will last. Package says 5 years with 3 hour use each day. Kinda short time frame for the dusk to dawn thing which is more like 8-9 hours a day. Fingers crossed to get 2-3 years.

07-06-2025Well, what was supposed to be an energy saver just made an annoying light show for me and my neighbors! These do not work!!! They come on randomly whether it’s light or dark around them. I tried in several fixtures and couldn’t find any way to tweak them. I bought two packs of 4 and tried multiple bulbs. Some didn’t work at all, most flipped on and off at random regardless of ambient light. I buy a lot online and I tend to check reviews first, so I was surprised given the overall high marks. Guess this is one of those cases of the seller spamming fake positive reviews to boost the item… buyer beware!

> 3 dayWe bought the 2700 as we wanted the warmest light we could get for outdoor lighting. The color is great! Installed easily and did not require adjusting. Came on at night maybe slightly earlier than our old dusk to dawn lights which is fine. Were off this morning. If these last, I will certainly recommend!

Greater than one weekOnly 2 of the 4 bulbs works. Thought it was the socket. Switch them out and it was definitely the bulbs. Other then that the two bulbs are very bright and turned off in the morning.

What is a Dusk to Dawn Sensor?
Sunco Dusk to Dawn lights improve your outdoor security and provide bright light with the convenience of automated night lighting. Our D2D bulbs turn on when the sun sets and automatically turn off when light is detected. Just switch it on to power the LED and let the included sensor do all the work. No timer is needed. Automated lighting helps create the illusion your house is occupied, even when it is not. These clever lights activate on their own so you can run a last minute errand after work and still have exterior lights on when you return after dark.
Why does my Dusk to Dawn light flash on/off?
Sometimes reflective surfaces can fool a Dusk to Dawn sensor into thinking there is sufficient light available, so the light turns itself off. It then registers no light detected and turns itself back on. This continues in a loop of off/on/off/on so that the light can appear to be strobing or flashing.
Consider these potential solutions: 1. Point lights away from one another so their beams to do not strike the D2D sensor in nearby light fixtures, 2. Use a dual bulb fixture with bulbs pointing in different directions, 3. Move a light fixture above a garage window or away from a doorway window will reduce the chances a reflective surface might mimic a light source and fool the D2D sensor.
Do I need a timer to set the Dusk to Dawn feature?
No, there is no timer needed for Dusk to Dawn bulbs. Flip on the light switch and the included Dusk to Dawn Sensor does all the work for you. It turns on when light is absent and off again when light is detected.
What does Wet Rated mean & why is it important?
The terms Wet Rated in our product descriptions and technical specifications refer to moisture ratings. Safety should be the main focus when you choose wet rated light bulbs. Since water is a conductor you want to eliminate accidental electrocution to protect the people who install and use light fixtures, including your family, visitors, and clients. Using Wet Rated light bulbs is appropriate for wet areas where dripping water, rain, or other liquid that could flow or splash against your light fixture or LED bulb. Sunco indicates the moisture rating in our technical specifications so you know our products meet set standards. Wet areas are not just exterior locations (though you can only use Dusk to Dawn bulbs outside). Use Wet Rated light bulbs in kitchens and bathrooms in select safety zones.
