Greater than one weekWarning this will be a run-on sentence So the switchbot software you download from Play Store requires you to sign up with them giving your email address so they can confirm it then you have to agree to being tracked by location its completely ludacris switchbot needs to know your location your software your phone your everything if youre okay with this go for it And also study the picture of the device for receptacles it protrudes from the wall about an inch and then when you plug a cord in to that it protrudes about another inch and a half so youre sticking out from the wall about two-and-a-half 3 inches...... great you cant put it behind anything yeah stupid design at least if youre going to steal everybodys information put the plug on the side huh then you have to go and find the Bluetooth device and and enroll it by pushing a button on the device itself the software cant find it on its own then you have to enter it into your Wi-Fi so you have to give your password for your router This is where I stopped the process uninstalled it and got rid of it like I said they do not make clear on the instructions that you cant just use it straight up Bluetooth this software is extremely intrusive and takes up half of a gigabyte of storage?.? seems more than a little a little sketch to me Returned it ..............definitely

> 3 dayFirst off, this will only work on WiFi if you’re in the same exact room as your router. If there’s a wall in between the plug and your router, the signal is too weak (meaning they use a ridiculously cheap and inefficient WiFi antennae.) Second, the plus seems to severely reduce the power coming from the wall outlet; either that or the power reading feature is completely inaccurate. I have my iPhone plugged in and charging via 2.0Amp charger; the SwitchBot app says it’s only pulling 0.1A, or about 4Watts, which is not right. I got this smart plug to be able to charge my EBike battery, which uses a 2.0A charger. However, when I use it for that, it’s only pulling 0.1A which is not enough to charge the battery in the time it’s so poised to take. (Takes 10+ hours rather than 5hours, like it does when just charging from my wall outlet). Don’t buy this plug at all, I’ll be returning mine. Thanks for the inconvenience, I guess.

> 3 dayI have few US devices with US plug, so this is so handy to have. Great features such as voltage monitoring, scheduling, routines, indicator light, manual switch on/off. Cons: a little too wide if using multi-extension socket. No UK plug adapter provided. Pros: fairly priced, works with applehome kit, Alexa, & more. Recommended

> 3 dayAfter an extensive, thorough & exhaustive search I finally found only 1 smart plug that operates via Bluetooth & doesn’t require a constant WiFi connection - the SwitchBot Smart Plug Mini 15A. Using Bluetooth provides better reliability, unlike WiFi that can drop the connection or go out at any time. The app set up wasn’t as slick as I’d like, but it didn’t take very long to set up & add schedules (15-25 min.). Hopefully this app will not follow in the footsteps of the horrible & unreliable Avi-on app required for an older model GE Bluetooth Smart Switch (Plug-In).

> 3 dayGreat and simple product with a pretty user friendly companion app. Should have definitely purchased more to reduce the bills/automate a few processes around the home.

> 3 dayI got the 2 pack and the 4 pack of these plugs, they are identical but you do save some money per plug if you get the 4 pack. I’ve been using them for a while and they are super easy to use and very useful. I got these because I wanted to check how much energy my water dispenser was using, I just got it but it doesn’t have an energy rating. With the current energy cost because of the high heat I didn’t want to add to much to the bill. According to this device, the dispenser will cost .80 cents per bill cycle or 2.80 with the hot option also turned on. I did a few quick tests to check the accuracy and the readings seem fairly accurate only going over by a watt, I just measured a lamp with a bulb that had a power rating and also charged my phone while using a usb power meter attached. The plugs are most likely taking their own power draw into the measurement because of the single watt difference, power measuring devices are not expensive so I’m sure these plugs are accurate. The app has a very clean and modern look to it and seems to pair with SwitchBot products very easily. I’m not sure why the app has such negativity but it’s been working perfectly for me so far, I have an iPhone 8plus. These plugs also have Bluetooth so they are even easier to pair because you get a prompt when you press the add button. The plugs are not intrusive so you can plug two on the same outlet. They have a physical button to keep them on or off. What I really like about these is that the plug will remember it’s last position incase the lights go out, some sockets will stay off if the power is interrupted. These also have a small LED light to show the status that can be turned off using the app.. These have a 15A rating which seems perfect for most devices, wall outlets also have a rating in amps and 15A is the average used indoors. These plugs are mainly smart plugs, the meter function is an extra tool. If you are trying to test devices that use more power than a microwave then a dedicated power meter will be better. I have an air compressor outside that I would love to test but I know that these plugs have their limits be they are primarily just smart switches. The only annoying thing these do is that there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to delete the history data on the app. You can restart the power counter by keeping the button on the plugs pressed for 15 seconds, this is also how you reset and rename them, but the history data will still be there. I’m not sure if deleting the app would delete the data but it should have been made easier to do. Overall these plugs are super useful, the app also lets you create Siri commands to have her power the plugs. The Bluetooth feature also allows you to connect to the plugs of the Wi-Fi is out, Bluetooth connection will be limited to its range.

> 3 dayThe plug is great, it is small enough to fit side by side, and tracks energy usage. One complaint would be that it does not work with HomeKit, although as I’ve learned recently they have a version with that, unfortunately not a two pack on Amazon, and is more expensive . Another thing is you can not see a graph by the hour, the data only shows the amount of time it was on, the energy usage in kWh and the day. Which means you can’t figure out when energy is being used the most during the day. Which was actually why I bought it.
