LOVE THE SMELL AND FEEL

I wasnt sure whether I would like it or not, but I love it. I have been using the Sandalwood version for a while and love that scent. And while the peppermint is pleasant and refreshing, I love that it feels like tea tree oil on the skin. Leaves a very nice, refreshing tingle while shaving! I also like that after I rinse, the scent and sensation dissipate. No sense in smelling like a candy cane all day! :)

Years back I got into shaving with a straight razor because I have sensitive skin and shaving made my one I break out. And I tried lots of shave soaps. No really. Lots. Taylor of old bond st - everything they make- smells amazing. A smoother shave than most. And clean skin after. The peppermint I thought would be refreshing coming off a cold winter and with spring rolling around. I wasn’t wrong.

This is the only brand of shaving cream that I use. It works perfectly with a DE razor, and you only need a tiny bit to work into a rich lather. This was my first time using the Peppermint variety and it was really refreshing. The scent is exactly as youd expect but not overpowering. Gives you a bit of that tingling feeling as well. Not much else to say - if you havent tried this brand yet, go for it - you will not regret it.

I use a safety razor every 2 days and I have been pleased with this shaving cream. Most creams this thick gum up and prevent the razor from getting close enough to the skin. This one doesnt. The consistency is adjustable from a thick layer for long hair to a thin layer (that still sticks!) for a reverse pass. The peppermint smell is strong but natural.

I have heard other guys talking about the advantages of wet shaving...so i decided to start looking into it bit by bit. I bought a few shaving creams ...heres my review of TOBSs Peppermint shaving cream It arrived in a medium sized box , No fancy box like GFT shaving cream... 1- 1st thing i noticed was the neat plastic tub (which has a plastic sleeve inside) which the shaving cream came in. The smell of peppermint scent hit my nose upon opening the plastic sleeve...It looks like white sugar paste.... Wow...smells nice but its like smelling a bunch of Candy Canes(so it might put off some of you) A bit strong but fascinated me if anything. 2- One thing once i opened it i did ...was take a dab of it (almond sized) in my wet hands to see how it lathered. Whoa...like i said im a novice to this type of shaving but i was quite impressed by how lather formed in my damp hands off a small size like this. If anything it shows this is 200gm tub will last a few months if you shave every other day. (Ok i know ..i know..i need to use a shaving brush plus bowl ...ill be reviewing those at a later time) 3 Once i lathered up my face, you felt the smell of peppermint hitting your sinuses WOW...that was cool! ...after a great 1st shave ... It honestly felt great! No overwhelming smell ...a faint smell if anything afterwards. No complaints in any sense from the better half. If anything it impressed me quite a bit ....(Ive tried a few of TOBSs shaving creams. They were ok...but i still need to try 3 more to complete the line) The Peppermint Shaving Cream by TOBS is possibly the best shaving cream they have (Im going to try Sandalwood and Almond this week before i give it the crown but id say i was impressed by the uniqueness of the Peppermint smell.) I honestly cant complain about using this product...id suggest you try a TOBS shaving cream sampler (Like i said about GFT/DR Harris)... heres a place that sells sample packs. If you like the cool tingling from menthol/mint shave cream, this is the one for you. The first time using this shaving cream was new and surprising! Intense!

I started shaving with a brush and safety razor about a year ago. I started with products from The Art of Shaving. Their cream (lavender) was hard, clumpy, and hard to lather. Taylor of Old Bonds Street Peppermint Shave Cream is awesome! It is creamy, smooth, and feels amazing on your skin. I get a much closer and smoother shave with this stuff than with the last cream I had. The peppermint oil leaves your face feeling cool and refreshed. I think Ive found my shave cream for life. -------------------------- Update (2 months later) I have been using this shaving cream for just a couple months, and it has worked magnificently. I normally shave 2-3 times a week, and when I do shave, I only use a small dime-sized portion of shaving cream on my brush. Using that amount over the last couple months, I have barely made a dent in the container. This stuff is going to last me a long time. What I have liked about this cream: - The smell is amazing - Even after two months, it still feels like butter (actually more like cool frosting) - The lather is thick and substantial - The stuff leaves your face feeling cool and refreshed (Note: I use a safety razor and a pre-shave oil before my shave)

Wow. This shaving cream is awesome. If this doesnt wake you up in the morning I dont know what will. Lathers great and feels even better when you splash some cold water on your face. It has a little more cooling effect than Proraso green. Im now addicted to way menthol and/or peppermint creams feel when you finish your shave. I have two more tubs of these on reserve just so theres no risk of running out. Literally like shaving with Altoids. Get some.
