This review is for the peppermint. The cream has a nice smell, and feels great on the skin. I use this cream by scooping a small amount with one or two fingers into a bowl and then work it into a lather with a brush. I then allow the cream to sit on my skin for 2 minutes to soften the hair and skin and it results in a perfect shave. This stuff leaves my skin feeling nice and the peppermint adds a nice cooling sensation during and afterwards.

I purchased this not knowing what to expect. I normally use the sandalwood from TOBS and love it. Upon using the peppermint shaving cream, I was sold and will always have a bowl of this with my shave supplies. Of all the ways to wake up in the morning, this is the best. It feels great after it is lathered on and leaves your face feeling great after. It does not leave a noticeable scent which is key. You dont want to walk around smelling like a candy cane. I highly recommend this product, sure it is a little more expensive than other creams, but it isnt one to be used all the time. Save it as a treat. Now add this to your cart now, you will not regret it.

I love this stuff! I typically rub a small amount into my face as a pre shave. I then put a dollup in my bowl and whip up a nice foam with my badger brush that has soaked for a couple minutes in warm water. This cream goes a long way and makes one hell of a lather! I do a 3 pass straight razor shave and by the end, I have more than enough cream left to lather my face 3 or more times by just using a nickel size amount to start. Smells great, leaves my face feeling fresh and smooth. You can even just add water to your face with what remains of the cream on your skin for that last pass to finish of stray whiskers. Only thing I dont like is the soap film it leaves on my copper sink that I have to rub away each time.

Ive used a few other shaving creams in the last few months and several more a few years ago. Lately, Ive been needing to shave both my beard *and* scalp to deal with a ringworm infection Ive had for most of my life (using over-the-counter creams also available here on amazon). In a side-by-side comparison with this and other Taylor of Old Bond Street (almond and sandalwood years ago), Edge (aloe variety, green can which everyone seems to suggest as the best), and Proraso (standard and another green variety, also years ago), none of them have been as satisfying to use as this stuff. I do wish to warn folks that this is very likely *not* best used in the wintertime as others may be quick to note. The temperatures outside my house are relatively warm as of my writing this review, so it works great right now, but numbing in winter might make one colder and uncomfortable. That cooling sensation is pretty extreme with this stuff. I personally find that numbing feeling to really make for a satisfying shave and Ive never felt anything like this in all my years of shaving. To me, its awesome! ...but truthfully, this might be a matter of preference. The only competitor I havent tried yet is the caffeine shaving cream from Pacific Shaving Company, but I doubt itll quite beat this stuff - its really special! Ill update this review if I happen to like that one better, but otherwise, you can assume this remains to be the best for me.

This rocks. You use a brush, but dont need to lather it up much, just a dab of hot water on the brush and a little swirl. Smooth, creamy, not chemical smelling, or slimy. No aerosol explosive gas, either, right?! Good product. Minty.

Anything mentholated/minty is typically known to not be the best for people with sensitive skin, but I absolutely *love* the scent of peppermint, so I needed to try this out. I ended using this practically every single time I shaved since there was no irritation and the shave was close. The scent is incredible too, needless to say. Again, peppermint isnt the best for sensitive skin, so if you do have incredibly sensitive skin that has already shown to be easily irritated by menthol, perhaps try the sensitive skin line of the Taylor of Old Bond Street instead.

Tobh is great. This is my favorite shave cream so far. It does not have that menthol cooling effect, but it does have a great tingly fresh clean feeling to it. Ill rebuy this one next time. It lasts forever. I wont go into how great Tobh shave creams are. Others have summed it up a million times over. best shave cream ive ever used.

Due to some vendors chicanery, I no longer give 5-star reviews. That being said, this item is worth a 5-star review. This is a typical TOBS product - you truly get what you pay for. Like all TOBS shave creams, a little goes a long way. I LOVE this peppermint scent! This will definitely make my rotation multiple times a week. I cant say enough about TOBS shave cream, its slick, good for sensitive skin, and smells wonderful! I bought a TOBS sampler pack recently and this was one of my favorites.
