I’m giving this the 5 star review that it deserves because It works the way a battery powered tens unit should. zBUT, there is no auto shut-off. So, if you don’t turn it off right away, or if you fall asleep and your “massage” ends, the battery continues to drain. I wasted batteries this way until I bought a rechargeable tens unit that turns itself off when my treatment time is over. Tens units are a huge blessing for pain relief.

The unit is easy to use and is just what I needed for my back pain. The pads lasted me about ten uses which is a little more than I expected. Very happy with my purchase!

A friend recommended this unit on Amazon. I purchased it and it is worth every penny! Wish I knew beforehand that these units worked so great and are not expensive. This is easy to use and the storage case is perfect. Battery operated so no charging needed. I take this with me on outings when I know I will have muscle discomfort in my back due to recent injury. Highly recommend.

So thankful I purchased this. I had experience with a smaller, less powerful unit bought at CVS, but even that was helpful. This TENS unit is a lifesaver for me in helping to manage my pain issues. The best part is that you can set it and then there are safety covers that protect the unit, so you dont have to worry about settings being accidentally changed while wearing. I often wear it on continuous mode for hours, even leaving the house with it all strapped on and hidden under my clothing. It has been a God-send. In my opinion, this device is more effective than pain medications and muscle relaxers (for those of us who have built up a tolerance to medications), and is certainly less toxic to the system. If youre wondering if this is powerful enough, this is one strong little unit that runs on a single 9 volt battery. I never set this higher than about 3.5 and it goes up to 8! You can set it as gentle or strong as you want. You can choose different modes and tweak adjustments. I purchased a set of rechargeable 9 volt batteries with a small recharging unit and I honestly cant believe how long the batteries last. (EBL 840 9V Battery Charger with 4 Pack 600mAh Li-ion Rechargeable 9 Volt Batteries) UPDATE Aug. 2017: Ive used this unit for 4 months and it got me through a really horrible time where I was suffering from knotted shoulders and trapezius with terrible trigger points that were so bad I was unable to sleep on either shoulder for nearly 4 full months. The pain radiated down into my upper arms and it felt like I needed rotator cuff surgery due to the muscles all cramping so much. I was seeking chiropractic and massage therapy once a week and taking pain meds around the clock. I finally had to have cortisone injections in 5 major trigger points, but the ONLY thing that truly helped break the cycle of pain and get me through the worst of it before the cortisone was this TENS machine. I can not recommend this unit enough for those suffering from pain. UPDATE Sept. 2017: Well, unfortunately, the unit quit working a few days before I had to travel, so I was forced to buy another one to replace it. The digital display all works, it cycles through everything, but the wires and pads do nothing. I even tried the wires and pads from my new unit, but to no avail. Although I had to wait a month to go through the manufacturer, I was fully refunded for the product and my new one works fine. My original review was 5 stars, dropped to 3 while I waited for a refund, and am leaving it at 4 stars because the seller did take care of the issue and the new unit seems to be working fine (although I did just get it a month ago). I will update if anything changes, but I still stand by the fact that it is a terrific unit when it works!

My PT specifically recommended this product to treat my bladder pain. Its awkward getting the electrodes to stick where they need to for that just because of my bloated potbelly, and I had to play around with the treatment settings to optimize them for myself, but it really does help with the pain. I use it typically once a day. The electrodes are somewhat annoying to manage, at first sticking tightly to everything they touch to the point that its difficult to peel them off the sheet or adjust placement, then after ~5 uses lose so much adhesiveness that they sometimes have trouble sticking properly where I want them. I tend to get about 10-15 days out of a set of electrodes. A little water on them restores their adhesion, at least for another 2 uses or so. Definitely read the manual before use. YMMV depending on what area youre treating and just plain what works for you, but though I find it kind of a nuisance to set up & take apart/put away, its greatly reduced my pain levels.

I’ve had back pain for over a year. I fell off the stairs coming into our house around November 2021. Since then I’ve had back pain to varying degrees, sometimes so bad I could barely walk, barely turn over in the bed and I couldn’t even stand up from a seated position and walk. I’d have to get up and get used to the pain and once I got going it was better. My back was spasming all the time. The pain was there 24/7. If I did something like go shopping and walk a lot or clean house then for two or three days the pain would be a lot worse. I’ve tried the chiropractor, steroids, muscle relaxers, and physical therapy. The strongest thing I took for pain was Ultram. I didn’t want to fall in that dark pit of getting hooked on something. Things started to turn around November of last year when I started to go to physical therapy. For some of my visits they would do dry needling and hook a tens unit up to it. Yes it hurt. But I was already hurting all the time so it was worth it. The first time was the worst. I left hurting worse than when I got there but I wanted to give it a chance. Two days later I did the dry needling again with the tens unit. That next morning when I got up most of the pain was gone. But it didn’t last but about 18 hours and it came back. It was such a relief though to be pain free even if just for 18 hours. Unfortunately insurance is not going to pay for me to do that forever but it gave me an idea. I researched and bought my own tens unit and I chose this one. This thing works miracles. I am pretty much pain free all the time. And yes it delivers the exact same thing I got in physical therapy just without the needles. I can vouch for it. The price is affordable for almost anyone. I use this every night for about 45 minutes. I can’t imagine going without it. I’m not a salesperson and I’m not getting any money for posting this. I just thought this could help someone else. If you have any kind of implant like a pacemaker you have to clear it with your doctor before using. The pads can be used multiple times and they are not that expensive. The ones I have on now I’ve used about 8-10 times. I’m sure if you were to put it on a hairy part of your body they wouldn’t last as long. It uses a 9 volt battery. You can use it up to three hours a day. My sister gets up in the morning, puts the pads on and leaves them on all day using it off and on. That way she isn’t taking the pads on and off. If you are out of options maybe this could help you.

I have used a TENS unit during physical therapy and didn’t know what I would need at home. I liked the simplicity of this one and it is a lot like the one the therapist used on me. I love the sturdy case it comes in and protected control knobs. My only complaint was that you only receive 4 electrodes pads so you will need to buy more.

Ordered this as an Amazon favorite and it did not disappoint. Easy to use and very powerful. Love the hard shell case.

This is amazing for helping relieve back and neck pain. It was great on Menasha cramps. Its tiny and might not be fancy but it works great!
