> 3 dayI normally do not write reviews on the products I buy but I felt this was one that people like myself needs help when buying. Please read entire review! The reason i got one was because my physical therapist told me I should get one for home use. They use them on me as part of my PT. There was 2 unit that was recommended to me from a completely different website which I did go to. Both units were the Tens name brand the 2000 model which is analog model exactly same as the digital 7000 model just analog is the only difference she said along with price. I choose to go with the 7000 but before buying I wanted to check with Amazon to see if they had it and to my amazing surprise they did have the Tens 7000 unit and ao so many more they had so many to choose from that I hesitate in buying, i actually had about 3 picked out i googled top and best rated units ofcourse each website has different view points as to which unit is best and why. Some are just tens units and some are TENS and EMS units so I thought well maybe i should get one of those its close to same price, and some of those say they have massage like levels that would be cool, so i held off until my next PT appointment and I asked ok out of these which should i get and they looks and said honestly I understand why you were put back with all the different units and reasins but still their is no way these pads could ever come close to giving you close to a massage like feel, just not possible while it might feel good its not gonna feel like the massage types they are saying, second the TENS 7000 we know for fact is medically proven and tested and has been approved for medical grade use for even us to be able to use in our patient which is why it was recommended the first time, I think i would still stick with that, but its your money by all means get the one you feel the most comfortable about getting. So I by all means followed my PT adviced and ordered the TENS7000 from Amazon as soon as I got back out to my car, my biggest hold up on that unit was that I did see that you could use any of the electrode pads larger than 2 x2 with that unit, but you can, as long as as it the same connection type matter fact my PT gave me a pack to tryof 2 x 4, and they work, using them as i write this review, and i also ordered some through Amazon, i just typed in Tens Electrodes 2x4 pads and they came right up right connections and all.. these pads are great size for back, if you have wide spread back paid, box in the area that hurts. Such as most your back, so place 2 pads at the 2 top corners and again 2 bottom corners and it will cover the entire area inbetween per my PT and guess what it works, everything inbetween gets worked.. another concern was it only taking a 9 volt battery was it gonna be string enough, wow was I shocked... I couldnt handle over a 3 and it goes all the way up to 8, so I would say YES it has more than plenty of power to handle your pain level. Cause i have some serious pain with a compressed fracture from a auto accident, plus I had back pain before that. So dont over look the power this unit has thinking you can find better. I couldnt tell you if you can find better, but i do know there is no need is speeding more more money on other costly units when this unit had a might punch to put out. You will not be disappointed. It is lightweight, compact, smaller than my cell phone to carry for easy on the go use. The only down size is the battery isnt rechargeable but that is a very easy fix but getting a rechargeable battery system thats good to use with any product you have that takes a 9 volt not just this device.. thanks for reading my review, this is the 2st one I bv have EVER written, you cant go wrong with this unit..

> 3 daySimple and easy to use! Don’t let the booklet of instructions intimidate you it’s pretty easy to work. Take it out, hook yourself up and go! The clip also helps so you don’t have to stay seated when using it. The pads are really sticky and stay sticky through a ton of uses. Really helps with the pain pretty quickly and feels great.

Greater than one weekI had the earlier model, TENS 3000, which was excellent, so I didnt hesitate to buy this. I just want a basic TENS unit, not 1,500 different modalities and acrobatics for the machine to do -- just good old, basic TENS. This unit is super simple to operate....easy to understand, easy to use, easy to control, easy to pack back up when done. I use it while reading, watching TV etc. Its easy-on, easy-off. Depending on how experienced you are in determining exactly where you electrode pads need to be, the machine does the rest and the controls are simple. I looked at a lot of others before buying this, thinking maybe I needed nouveau features. I dont. I use a TENS for basic pain relief and thats what this delivers. It may not be super razzle-dazzle -- but I like simplicity and I like to get what I WANT in a product. And I did.

> 3 dayThis is the best product in the world if you have pain. It would not work on my hip bursitis, but it would work on my lower back muscles. Because my hip hurts so much I couldn’t even walk straight. That made my lower back muscles hurt. When I use this device, it eliminated the pain completely. Great invention!

Greater than one weekWe bought this to try with ear clips for the vagus nerve for long nineteen. Once I accidentally turned the dial the wrong direction, as did one of my teens, so I returned the unit because it was too easy to make a mistake with it. The battery that came with the unit was DEAD. A bonus is that is is eligible for FSA tax free spending. If I did not need a TENS device to use with the ear clips, this would have been fine, but for my purpose I did not want to risk it. It is nice unit, but after shocking ourselves twice, I decided to return it to purchase one with up / down arrows.

> 3 dayThis unit gave me the relief I needed throughout the day to keep me going. I haven’t been diagnosed with Piriformis Syndrome, however, I have been experiencing a tight piriformis that I’ve been getting massaged out, TENS’d, Heat Therapy and adjusted at the Chiropractic Center here locally. Those visits were weekly or bi-weekly and felt the need for relief during the week. I ended up researching TENS Units, and this one I felt could be discreet and have the power I need to assist with relief. I took a chance, even with some of the negative reviews. Immediately after apply and running the unit I felt relief. Relief I felt I received from the therapy I am receiving at my chiropractic center. I had begun, before using this, experiencing numbness radiating down the right side of my thigh to my right foot. It was more annoying than anything. For the first two weeks of using I put two pads on/near my piriformis. I work at a Bank so I would put my work clothes on and could easily hide the cord and the unit has a clip that I could clip to my pants. Every two hours I turned it on for the 60 minutes max time limit. I had no more pain or annoyance. After further self research, I found that my sitting posture was affecting my piriformis. I had always made sure I was sitting up with my chair in the highest setting (height), and that I was sitting on the edge of my seat. (Idk why I did this). I found relief lowering my chair, my desk at work (it’s adjustable), where my knees are in alignment with my hips. I haven’t had any numbness since changing this posture. However, I continue to use the TENS 7000 on achy muscles, on my piriformis if I am doing a lot of walking or yard work. I am actually getting ready to purchase new pads. The package came with 4 and I’ve noticed that the pads are getting less sticky - they still stick, but purchasing more to have on hand. I’ve already had to replace the battery but I got several hours of relief before having to do that. This product actually gave me hope! I was about to start asking for either Botox or Cortisone shots for relief.

> 3 dayI initially bought this product to help my husband with some deep tissue neck/shoulder pain. He did not like it, it did not help. But when my teenage son and nephews got a hold of it they had a blast... so I guess its a win.

> 3 dayBased on another reviewer’s advice I chose this model over the one utilizing AAA batteries, and I am extremely happy I did so. This unit, which runs on a single 9V battery is working much more effectively than even my best home-made versions. Having eaten dozens of honey-coated watch batteries of various sizes, rigging motorcycle batteries with the leads from digital ohm meters, and licking both 110 and European sockets with few beneficial results, this contraption is a real time saver, if even just no longer making weekly trips to Radio Shack for miscellaneous capacitors, transistors, etc. While the lead-core fly fishing line coils connected to a type 31 marine battery did indeed provide some minor neck relief, lugging the 75 pound battery proved to be somewhat inconvenient, especially on bowling night. Enter the TENS 7000 (I realize this sounds a lot like an ad for an upcoming Terminator movie, but that’s really what they call it) Having suffered some extreme issues stemming from the fact I have disks pinching my spine to nearly 100% closed off (I swear I’m not making that up) along with the fact I was born quite young, chiropractors and physical therapists have been a major part of my life for well over 30 years now. While many of them claim it was their manipulations which cured many a stiff joint or mis-aligned spine, I know from experience that TENS therapy truly works wonders. It truly does. With the exception of the time the doc’s assistant came in to turn the rapid-sine machine “off” and accidently turned it from power “2” to “Well Done” and having to peel me off the ceiling, TENS has provided much needed relief from massive muscle spasms in my lower and upper back; eliminated stiffness in my neck; reduced swelling in my neck; as well as made me a very rich man. Well maybe not that last one, but it’s not too late. Anyone who spends time at the chiro knows the joy of TENS therapy, but we also know the disappointment of feeling the power shut down just when it’s starting to feel like it’s working! Sure the doc has other patients in line, but we’re paying for US to get relief- let them wait! With your very own TENS machine at home, there IS no wait, and better yet, as long as you’ve got batteries, there is NO LIMIT to how long you can cook yourself to pain free!! (Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor. I do have much experience as a PATIENT, and offer only my personal opinion stemming from that experience. If you have a serious problem, please consult a doctor or your local Salvation Army for proper assistance) I read about others who run their TENS constantly, and at full power- setting 8- and achieving good results. Let me tell you, I can take a LOT of pain, and I am running this 9V model at just below power level 3, and it is making my shoulder spaz out so much it resembles Kanye West at a Golden Globes ceremony. I am using my new TENS to relieve a frozen shoulder; after just 30 minutes of low-intensity therapy using the various modes I was actually able to lift my arm over my head for the first time in nearly a year. I swear I’m not making that up. I do firmly suggest that you DO NOT use the unit constantly however, as your body needs time to relax and “calm down” after a session, so based on my decades of experience I would say a total of 2 hours or so per day broken into 30-40 minute sessions will provide you with a quick idea of whether it will work for you or not. Others are obviously suffering different problems however, so you should consult with your doctor (or qualified airline stewardess) to determine what is right for you. That being said, I expect within the next week to be suffering from zero shoulder pain, no more back pain, and full restoration of my receding hairline. While this machine IS pretty cool, I doubt I’ll get down to my desired weight without having used it at least a month, and the cancer will probably require at least another after that. Good thing I also bought rechargeable batteries! The TENS machine is truly very sleek, and extremely well thought out. It is about the size of a walkman; unfortunately in fact, it resembles a walkman SO much that just this morning while out shopping I was hit with rocks by 2 young thugs who told me to “Grow up and join the digital age!” after spotting my TENS conveniently clipped to my Bermuda shorts. Another cool feature is that both the controls for the leads and the modular controls are each protected behind little doors, which prevent accidental changes to the settings while you move about. Very cool, as they are easy deal with when need be. The unit is also lightweight; I would barely know it’s there if it weren’t for the fact my face keeps changing shape as if I’m sticking my open mouth out the car window while traveling in excess of 90MPH on the highway. But darn, it feels so good. Overall I am extremely happy with this unit and wholeheartedly recommend it. Here are the Pros and Cons I have found so far: Pro: Surprisingly low cost VERY powerful Lightweight Attractive design May possibly double as a sex toy Variable modes, wide variety of outputs Easy to program and use Much more effective than string of holiday lights with tinsel replacing original bulbs then wrapped around body Con: Will only partially cook hot dogs at level 6; level 8 burns ends Easily mistaken for Walkman by local thugs Does not work after being pushed into uncovered cesspool May possibly double as a sex toy
