The Beatles - The Beatles white album - Capitol Records - SWBO 101 VG+/VG

As I listen to the 5.1 Blu-Ray mix on our home theater system, I find this mix to be a true achievement.

good album

First of all it was expensive and this is not helped by the fact it has since dropped in price by over £25 so it looks like true fans were taken for a bit of a ride by wanting the album when it came out. But apart from that one (major) criticism this is still the White Album the greatest album in the history of music and here it comes with bonus discs to keep any Beatles fans in ecstasy for many months to come. It is such a fascinating collection of songs which seem to show the Lennon / McCartney songwritting partnership coming to an end and as a result we are getting an insight into strengths of them as individual songwriters. Personally the highlights are Happiness is a Warm Gun, Martha my Dear, I Will, Long Long Long and Cry Baby Cry. But in reality the whole album is truly wonderful covering such a wide range of music and its hard to see how this can ever be repeated anyone ever again. The bonus discs are a pure joy. As a fan words cannot explain how privileged I feel to be able to hear what is on them.

I recieved this last night , the package is very well put together .I like the plactic slip cover hopefully this will keep the case fro getting scratched. The sound is wonderful . Even better than the remastered albums they did a few years ago . The music has not changed, it just sounds better . These sets are for die hard beatles fans. Even though i own the white album in record form and the remastered album on cd , i still purchased this set and am very happy i did .A little pricey but still worth the money.

The 1/2 speed mastering is the big deal here.Never have heard a piece of vinyl sound like this.The sound is crystal clear.Ive owned this album in different media reproductions over the years,and nothing comes close to this in sound.I listened to this album for nearly 50 years and to my old ears,sounds wonderful.Worth the extra price for the 1/2 speed mastering for sure.

Execelente coleccion... muy completa... el libro junto con las reseñas de cada cancion son sensacionales... y las fotos ineditas que contiene le da un plus mas que genial. Le puse 3 estrellas debido a que tuve problemas con el Bluray (que era lo que mas esperaba de esta edicion) no pude disfrutar de la edicion en 5.1 de este gran disco debido a que se quedaba pegado el disco, tal como lo demuestra el video, generando un sonido bastante molesto en mi reproductor. Solicite el cambio del producto y la unica opcion que tenia era solicitar el reembolso del dinero, ya que la opcion de cambiar por otro producto similar no estaba habilitado. Asi que envie el producto de vuelta y estoy a la espera del reembolso y volver a encargar el disco. Tendre que esperar 2 meses para disfrutar de esta edicion, siempre que no se repita el mismo problema. Actualizare comentario una vez finalizado el proceso de reembolso. Nota aparte las fotos que trae el album blanco y que en esta edicion no venian incluidas (las fotos en colores de los 4 integrantes que incluye el album blanco).
