> 3 dayI love this album, sound is so much cleaner then original album. I love the fact that you get all the posters and 5x7 photos just like the original had. The separation is so clean, there is no muddy parts and it has deep bass and very clean highs plus the natural warmth that vinyl gives you. I am very proud of this purchase and I have bought other 180 gram vinyl because of it. I really look for sites that give all the information about your purchase I like Sound Stage vinyl direct, Elusive Disc, Music Direct and Acousticsounds.com these places give all information then I check here for price and matching skus, item numbers and recording companies. If anyone reads this and knows of better places please let me know.

> 3 dayGiles Martin has done a fantastic job, these remixes sound crisp and fresh. All the outtakes and sessions are also very interesting to listen to and allow an introspective look into the construction of such legendary songs. A must have for any fan.

> 3 dayI was looking forward to this, as this is my favorite work by the Beatles. The best part of this is the remix. Giles Martin stays true to the original mix all the way through. Somehow he has managed to clean up the sound (as he did with Sgt Pepper) making everything that much more beautiful. It’s really like layers of film are removed and everything is pristine. Voices more vibrant and present. Bass and drums much more audible. Fantastic clarity on guitars and orchestration. I have listened to this album for thirty years and hear new things and detail in every song. The musicianship of the Beatles is really noticeable, as well as the brilliant engineering and production. The Blu Ray gives higher definition of the new mix and a nice high definition version of the 1968 mono mix - to my ears not much different from the CDs. The 5.1 mix, like Giles Martin’s mixes in the past don’t add a lot - minimal use of the extra speaker and separation of the parts loses some of the power and tightness of the stereo mixes. The exception to this is revolution #9 which is really fascinating in a type of quadrophonic presentation - this May have been the “hidden” masterpiece of the album, which we can now fully hear, as audio technology has finally caught up to the Beatles White Album. The extra CDs are not that interesting. A lot have been previously released on the Anthology. They do show some of the work behind the completed songs, which is interesting (for instance the first tracking of Dear Prudence). The Esher tapes are fun but pale next to the completed album. The book is great - wonderful photos and really complete notes on each song - I learned so much more about many of the songs. My only peave is there seems to be a lot of compression which makes everything at the same volume throughout - whether it’s Helter Skelter or Blackbird. I’m hoping the LP version has more range. Overall - if you love this album, get the remixes - just outstanding sound quality for the Beatles most diverse album. The revelation is the Beatles excellence as musicians.

> 3 dayI dont buy in to all this best band ever rubbish as there is no such thing. This is a great album by an obviously great band, my fave will always be Revolver which is personal taste, the only sight criticism of this one is it does contain a few fillers (again my opinion)
