if the white album is your favorite beatles album this is a must for you...and if its amongst your favorites it may well become your number 1 if you get this set...the 5.1 mix is very well done...some of the 5.1 mixes especially the steven wilson mixes tend to drown out the vocal tracks but this is very well mixed...the remix is great as well...its not remastered its remixed...the book is great as well...and the esher demos are great as well as the extra tracks ....all of the extra tracks are alternate versions not just a diffrent takes of basically the same thing....some are quite drastically diffrent like the 13 minute raw blues version of helter skelter...you have never heard the beatles this bluesy...and a song by lennon on the demos which is the exact note for note tune to jelous guy with diffrent lyrics done in 1968...well worth the rather high cost....you really get the feel for how great a live band they would have been in that era

I finally bought the 6 disc version of the Beatles Anniversary sets and everything is great about it except that there are not very many photos of White Albums recording sessions included in the sets book.In fact,there are more photos of the White Album recording sessions on the internet.
