My girlfriend surprised me on Christmas with this box set.

So many “ deluxe” reissues have minimally interesting extras - not true here. A veritable treasure trove. Beautifully and enthusiastically (not to mention musically) performed and transported to us this century in a sonically pure form those who worshipped The Beatles contemporaneously lusted for - all yours now for a Franklin

Got this the day it was released. A total delight for the true Beatles fan. Excellent sound quality and in depth insight to the making of one of my favorite Beatles albums. You get the feeling that youre in the studio as they work out the tracks and go off playing just what they feel at the moment. Definitely 5 STARS *****

Definitive perfection, THE best box set of any album anywhere. The new mixes are a revelation, the demos in fantastic quality and the outtakes provide a great glimpse and insight to the worlds greatest band in the studio. The accompanying book is of superior quality as is the packaging all the way around. I loved Pepper last year but this tops it, far more interesting musically. On a scale of 5 stars this gets 100! Absolutely essential if you love the Beatles, or if you just like great music. Hopefully Abbey Road gets this treatment next year.
