> 24 hourI bought this cheap ssd for my first PC build ever thinking it would be OK to cheap out on atleast one component as everything else on my pc was expensive but GOD WAS THIS A MISTAKE. (I have used this ssd for approximately one year) First issue I had with this my PC was random heat spikes from the cpu which led me to believe the cpu was just a lemon but I stuck with it anyway cause it wasn’t a big deal. SECOND my sound setting would randomly jump up and down in games and in movies, sometimes even just looking at the actual sound setting you could watch all of them jump from 70-100% sound like a ghost was messing with me. Again I ignored this as I didn’t want to spend another 300$ on another CPU. THIRD issue I had with this PC my ICUE program would not run properly and neither would my LCONNECT software, fan lighting was a horrible experience so I was convinced it was the software. FOURTH ISSUE startup turned into 1-2 minute long start ups and I was also created with a “repairing drive c, press any button to cancel this” I had no clue what that ment, everytime I went to download stuff onto the drive it was working fine so I didn’t think it needed any type of repair. FIFTH AND FINAL PROBLEM: I could no longer install or delete anything onto the drive as once I restarted the pc everything would magically reset to its previous settings (example: I deleted iCUE, then reset my pc and boom it magically reappeared. I installed valorant then reset pc then boom it magically vanished. I was so frustrated as I thought this was some type of critical hardware failure, I couldn’t even play video games as after around an hour the whole pc would just crash. Finally I decided to try to fix the issue by starting with a new much more expensive name brand ssd and a fresh install of windows. My PC is now running faster then ever, sound bugs fixed, ICUE programs and lian li software running like a dream, do random heat spikes on my cpu no random crashes on my PC. This ssd has been a curse on me for over a year and because of it I almost spend another 300-400$ on components that I didnt need. (I know what your thinking, I must have downloaded a bunch of malware or things of that nature on the ssd, WRONG this pc and this ssd were used for Video games ONLY unless steam and riot games gave me a virus which I highly doubt) Do yourself a favor and spend extra cash on a name brand ssd unless you really don’t care about your pc and the information on it. Im finally free from this curse of an ssd. If I could give 0 stars I would.

> 24 hourSo far so good. In general, it has better in read-write performance and so lower latency than my mechanical HDD.

> 24 hourI bought four of these (Timetec 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 8Gb/s M.2 2280 3D NAND TLC 600TBW High Performance SLC Cache Read/Write Speed Up to 2,000/1,600 MB/s Internal Solid State Drive for PC Laptop and Desktop (1TB)) and mounted them in the OWC 4M2. As you can see from the screen shot from BM Disk Speed Test Im getting very respectable R/W performance. This is on a Mac Studio M1 Max. The theoretical limit of the 4M2 is 2800MB/s so this is pretty close considering that these NVMes are Gen3. Unfortunately as others have stated, the 4M2 fan is a bit noisy. Not bad loud, so this may be an upgraded fan (I just bought the 4M2 at the same time as the NVMes) from what they have used in the past.

> 24 hourDecent little 256G drive. Bought this just to use to install some games as a secondary drive. Bought mainly due to price ($19) and the fact that its listed as NGFF to match the open slot on my board. No problems so far and was surprised to see a couple built in LEDs. No mention of this at all in the ad and nothing in the reviews so far. Fun little extra I suppose. Hope this thing lasts awhile. Will update review should it need some stars deducted. :)

> 24 hourAs a computer tech, Id been recommending SanDisk Ultra and Western Digital (WD) 3D NAND SSDs to my clients because, in my experience, they performed more consistently and had fewer issues than other brands. Ive used and recommended Timetec RAM for a long time. When I found that Timetec had their own line of SSDs, I gave them a try. Im a fan now! Less expensive, same performance, just as easy to install. Just wish they also came in 4TB size.

> 24 hourI got it to move my online storage backup, not planning to use it very often. The copy process was fast under a 500Mb fiber connection. Its stored again by using the original packing which Id add some more info and the brand colors. Im happy with the SSD so far.
