> 3 dayI used the 1tb drive for my steam & epic store games storage, it started acting up a couple weeks ago. I didnt know what was causing issues with my games a couple weeks prior to today and I assume the problems I had then culminated with todays events where games refused to get past the splash screen so I guess it had bad sectors? I tried to format the drive but windows kept giving me an error stating it couldnt format the drive, I shut down the laptop and made sure the sata cable was still secure and it was, but I pulled it out anyways and reinserted it again and turned it on. Before the ASUS splash screen popped up, it said S.M.A.R.T. Bad Drive, Backup, Replace but the drive is recognizable by windows and the folders are visible but I cant delete the folders and when I try to view properties or run check disk, windows explorer hangs and then locks up forcing me to forcibly shutdown the laptop and restart it. I even tried to go through the process of reinstalling Win11 and got to the screen where I could format drives, I tried to format the timetec and got the same issue I had when I was on the desktop. I bought this drive on Feb 16th, it lasted only 3.5 months, I guess you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayI really appreciate Timetecs straightforward advertising, especially putting the TBW value in plain sight, which is rare. When Im browsing another brands SSD offerings, and theyre focusing on MTBF ratings, and I have to follow a trail of links to a footnote on a PDF somewhere to find the actual important specs, theres nothing to see here. Meanwhile Timetec is making it easy by laying out all the important specs like IO speeds, TBW, SLC caching and flash type in the title or first paragraph of their product descriptions. The product itself is solid so far, and I look forward to buying more Timetec products.

> 3 dayI have an HP Pavilion - 15-cw1068wm laptop with a 1TB SATA HDD data D drive, and a Samsung 128GB SATA M.2 SSD Windows C drive. I purchased this to upgrade the Samsung SATA SSD that was running out of space. The laptop doesn’t have an extra (empty) hard drive slot, so I purchased a cheap M.2 SATA SSD to USB 3.0 external SSD adapter enclosure, and used Macrium Reflect to clone the existing 128GB SSD to this 256GB SSD. I am a physical therapist and I know how to access the motherboard to upgrade the network adapter to WiFi 6, add more memory, and upgrade the SSD, but that’s the extent of my computer knowledge. I don’t know anything about all the partitions on the C drive, or the BIOS settings, so I crossed my fingers and hoped that my “cloned” C drive was exactly that. In other words, truly an identical copy that immediately would boot up exactly like the old drive, without having to change any BIOS settings. Fortunately, that’s exactly what happened, and I guess I can thank Macrium Reflect for that. I have no complaints about this Timetec SSD, the upgrade process was seamless, and for ~ $21 I doubled the size of my Windows SSD. I installed this Timetec SSD 3 weeks ago, and everything has been fine so far. My system performs exactly the same way it did with the original Samsung SSD.

> 3 dayI got it to move my online storage backup, not planning to use it very often. The copy process was fast under a 500Mb fiber connection. Its stored again by using the original packing which Id add some more info and the brand colors. Im happy with the SSD so far.

> 3 dayThis is my second 512GB SSD from Timetec. The first replaced the factory HD in my early 2009 Mac Mini (along with some Timetec RAM). This worked so well that I decided to get another 512GB SSD to update my HP DV6000 laptop. Ive only had them installed for a a couple of weeks so its too early tell about their longevity, but these were very inexpensive and have had no issues so far with any of the products. I feel comfortable buying from them again.
