Im one to encourage smaller brands by buying from them ahead of the bigger, better known ones. Timetec, being a smaller brand, was no exception. The specs for write-read speed, the 1,800 TBW, the DRAM cache etc were comparable to bigger brands: WD, Samsung SN750, Crucial etc. Now, couple that with all the glowing reviews, and I was willing to give this one a try. My hope was really high on Timetec that I, in fact, bought their 3D NAND SATAIII SSD (1TB) as well. Installed the 2TB stick into my Dell Latitude E7470 with no problems. Installed my Windows 10 and booted up the system. Again, no problems. Then, I installed the CrystalDisk info to check for the SSDs health. And thats when things went south. Now, the health status read 98%. Odd, considering the SSD stick is brand new. So, I ran it again. Same thing. I got in touch with customer service. They replied promptly. Said it was indeed strange. I didnt hold this against them. After all, sometimes one slip through the cracks. So I returned it for a replacement. On receipt, I ran the same health check. Again 98%. I said to myself, maybe its not a big deal. Lets see if the read-write speed is as blistering as advertised. So, rather than a 3,400/3,000 MB/s value, I got readings that were almost HALF that: 1,735.64/1,634.45 MB/s. Now, keep in mind, I mentioned earlier that Id also bought the SATAIII SSD. Well, this experience prompted my running a health check on it too. Fortunately, it came back 100% good. I wasnt quite ready to give up on this NVME SSD, so I somehow tried to convince myself that perhaps the fault was with my laptop. So, I switched out the Timetec, for another fairly up-and-coming brand Inland by Micro Center. Specifically, Inland Premium NVME 2TB. Installed it. Ran a check. Health status 100% good. Enough to convince me to return this Timetec for a refund. Mailed customer service to share my experience and advised them to do a better across-the-board quality control check on this product. They replied with a courteous apology for my unpleasant experience. I wouldve given this a 2 star if not for their prompt CS response. That said, you can take your chances with this 2TB SSD. But off the top of my experience, Id suggest a pass on this one ... for now. Hope this review was helpful. * **************************************************************************************** * UPDATE (12/16/2022): As you can see, Ive upgraded the star rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. And heres why. The previous review (which Ill keep up to give you context) was based on the old logo Timetec. This is me, now, after purchasing the New Logo Timetec. My initial thoughts were: Itll take more than just window dressing the SSD stick with a new plastered-on logo to sway me. Whats under the hood of this newer iteration? Well, thats what I was about to find out. My previous qualms were twofold: 1) The health percentage was under 100%. 98% to be exact. 2) Write/Read speeds were less than half of what they advertised. But, since that time, Ive taken possession of a Dell Precision 5520, which has two SSD slots: One for SATA III SSD, and the other for M.2 NVME SSD. So, as I browsed through Amazon for a new SSD to slot in, Id noticed Timetec had updated their logo. And so I said to myself.Hey, why not give it another try? So glad I did. Trust, I ran a Chrystaldisk info heath check. Came back 100%. Same for the SATAIII SSD. Speed was also close to as advertised. Two thumbs up. Oh, and before I forget, let me add that the average core temp was sub 39 degrees (with a silicone thermal pad). Now I can confidently declare, go get Timetec. Theyre an upcoming US based brand with probably one of the best pricing you can find in the market.

    Greater than one week

This is my second 512GB SSD from Timetec. The first replaced the factory HD in my early 2009 Mac Mini (along with some Timetec RAM). This worked so well that I decided to get another 512GB SSD to update my HP DV6000 laptop. Ive only had them installed for a a couple of weeks so its too early tell about their longevity, but these were very inexpensive and have had no issues so far with any of the products. I feel comfortable buying from them again.

My PC Boots so fast now. I cloned my Western Digital 1tb hard drive to the Timetec 1TB SSD and everything is so much faster now. I am going to like this. I like Timetec products and installed 32gb of their ram a few months ago. I bought 2 of the Timetec 1 tb SSDs and the other one will be the system drive for another pc I am building. Could not me more pleased! I am running Win 10, I7 4.0 GHz on a Gigabyte Motherboard w 32 Gigs of ram.

I have an HP Pavilion - 15-cw1068wm laptop with a 1TB SATA HDD data D drive, and a Samsung 128GB SATA M.2 SSD Windows C drive. I purchased this to upgrade the Samsung SATA SSD that was running out of space. The laptop doesn’t have an extra (empty) hard drive slot, so I purchased a cheap M.2 SATA SSD to USB 3.0 external SSD adapter enclosure, and used Macrium Reflect to clone the existing 128GB SSD to this 256GB SSD. I am a physical therapist and I know how to access the motherboard to upgrade the network adapter to WiFi 6, add more memory, and upgrade the SSD, but that’s the extent of my computer knowledge. I don’t know anything about all the partitions on the C drive, or the BIOS settings, so I crossed my fingers and hoped that my “cloned” C drive was exactly that. In other words, truly an identical copy that immediately would boot up exactly like the old drive, without having to change any BIOS settings. Fortunately, that’s exactly what happened, and I guess I can thank Macrium Reflect for that. I have no complaints about this Timetec SSD, the upgrade process was seamless, and for ~ $21 I doubled the size of my Windows SSD. I installed this Timetec SSD 3 weeks ago, and everything has been fine so far. My system performs exactly the same way it did with the original Samsung SSD.

This drive works well enough for my needs. It is not the fastest drive on the market however it works well for my primary computer needs. Which is internet browsing bill paying and shopping online.

The original ssd in my ancient Minix died. Purchased this as a replacement/upgrade. Installed windows and set this as main drive. Working well and speedier startup than the previous drive.
